This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell...Psalm 132:14

Utterly Abandoned

Utterly abandoned to the Holy Ghost
Oh the sinking, sinking, until self is lost
Until the emptied vessel lies broken at His feet
Waiting till His filling shall make the work complete

Utterly abandoned no will of my own:
For time and for eternity, His and His alone;
All my plans and purposes lost in His sweet will
Having nothing, yet in Him all things possessing still

Utterly abandoned tis so sweet to be
Captive in His bonds of love, yet so wondrous free;
Free from sins entanglements, free from doubt and fear
Free from every worry, burden, grief or care

Lo He comes and fills me, Holy Spirit sweet
I, in Him am satisfied I in Him complete
And the light within my soul shall nevermore grow dim
While I keep my covenant - Abandoned unto Him

Amidst the worlds pains and troubles.... how sweet are His promises

Lo I am with you alway Matt 28:20

Dear reader abandon yourself to Him...there is no better place to rest.

My beloved spake,
and said unto me,

Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

For, lo, the winter is past,
the rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of the singing of birds is come,
and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs,
and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell.

Arise, my love,
my fair one,
and come away.

Song of Solomon 2:10-13

Thank you Julia,

yes, thank you for sharing this message of love.

How our hearts need to enter to this place of total abandonment in Christ Jesus, our Lord and King.... and how much I yearn for this some days more than others, but How my soul longs to be forever lost in His love.

Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.
Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.

Psalm 119:40-41 (edited)

This is a beautiful poem and I too can only recommend that all who will read it will also long after the Lord Jesus Christ to become lost in Him, yet found in Him, and in Him alone have their peace.

He is our joy and hope, our eternal refuge and rest.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.

Colossians 3:2-4

Bless you ....><>

Come unto me,

all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy,
and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30

O God Thou art my God...my soul thirsteth for Thee. Psalm 63:1

Not I but Christ be honoured loved exalted
Not I but Christ be seen, be known, be heard
Not I but Christ in every look and action
Not I but Christ in every thought and word

Christ only Christ, Oh be my only vision
Glory excelling, soon, full soon I'll see
Christ only Christ, my every wish fulfilling
Christ only Christ, my All in All to be

Not I, but Christ liveth in me (Gal 2:20)
