In my heart oh Lord I want to sing
In my mind Oh God I want to lift my hand
But as I do I find not the strength
My body failed me I felt so weak.
I want to make a joyful noise
My soul cries out but cannot get out
Definitely Lord I cannot lift You up
Nor lift my hands to adore You my God
Lord in if this way I can no longer bless You
Through this poem may You come to know
In my heart I long to bless You
Yes my Lord, I really long for You
Though I could no longer sing a song for You
I will find ways to bless and praise You
Through this pen I come to Worship You
With Your gift of faith I draw near to You
And now Oh God may You be blessed
As I write this poem of praise
For You are the only desire I have
My only joy is to be with You always.
"Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:25-26
