hi, everyone. it's truly great to be here.

i joined this website on november 30, 2008, but at that time i considered myself returning to Catholicism, and left this website in favor of Catholic Answers, where i thought i would be better off talking with people who shared my passionate Catholic beliefs.

to tell you a little about myself, my name is alison and i am sixteen. i was born again on november 22, 2007, a night that has been branded deep into my heart. Jesus delivered me that night from two and a half years of incredible darkness that almost cost me my life - if you'd like to hear more about my testimony, i'd be more than happy to share it with you, and i definitely plan to post it here in the near future.

i am extremely passionate for God, and love Him with all that i am and all that i have. my dream is to become a novelist and poet, artist and missionary for His glory, and walk in the miraculous, healing and prophetic, all this only if it's His perfect will for me, of course. but wherever He leads me, i will follow, for how could i not be forever passionate for the One Who literally preserved my life with a miracle on the night i tried to die, and brought me out of deep darkness to Himself in Love?

right now i am struggling in my faith, for i am very confused about whether the truth of Jesus is manifested in Catholicism or in nondenominational evangelical Christianity. i've considered myself Catholic for about two months now after being raised in the Catholic faith, but now i'm not so sure. i returned here and left Catholic Answers because i need to know why i seem to be drawn to the nondenominational side of things once more. i need to know where the Truth can be found, and if any of you can help me to discover that Truth, whether it is in Catholicism or if it truly is in nondenominational Christianity, your help would be truly appreciated and loved. i have prayed for God to lead me to Himself, to the Truth, and i trust that He will answer that prayer in His Own time. but i did feel an urge to return here, and so i trust that maybe He's leading me back to this website for a reason. please, if you would like to pray for my discernment, guidance, wisdom and clarity when it comes to which carries the Truth, Catholicism or evangelical Christianity, i would truly appreciate it.

this appears to be an amazing community, and i truly am excited to be here. i hope and pray that i will be able to touch many lives in a positive way for God's glory, and that i will find the Truth here, as God seems to be leading me. stay strong, stay safe and take care of yourselves. God bless you all. x

love,
in Christ,

Hi Allison welcome to the forums sister.

I'm glad you've joined us.

Please check out this thread regarding Catholicism. I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school for 13 years. Its false doctrine on many levels just to give you a head start.

And for the record, no believers needs a label or denomination. All you need is Jesus and the Bible, faith in Him.

Please read this carefully:

thank you so much, chad.

i did read through it, and i truly feel that God is calling me out of Catholicism into a passionate, intimate love relationship with Himself that doesn't involve rituals or going through Mary.

i will continue to do my research online as to the differences between Catholicism and Christianity, and continue praying for discernment. i'm not afraid for myself, because i know that God will lead me to the Truth and to Himself completely. i'm terrified for my family who believe that they are living the truth in Catholicism - but i will pray for them with all my heart, and trust in Jesus to bring them to Himself.

thank you again, chad. God bless you.

love,
in Christ,

You will find all the answers to your questions in the Bible, my friend. All you need is the precious Holy Spirit and a Bible; He will lead you to the truth.
