Hello all, it is nice joining a group of fellow believers. I am a strong believer in Christ. I was born into the Christian faith. I went away from the faith after my mother passed but came back 6 years ago. My wife is my catalyst I thank God every day for her. I have ways felt that God has something big planned for my wife. I think I know what it is but I will not claim until I know for sure. I have asked and begged God to reveal that if this cling is not from him to take it away from my thoughts and from my life because I do not want anything that is not from God. I am very passionate about God, and about the times that we are living in. I guess I am writing this post because I don't know If I am suppose to wait for my answer on my calling or what. This passion I have is overwhelming and I cannot shake it off of me. Thank you and God bless.

Greetings,

You can be.

In other words,
you either are who you are or...?

Often, (too often?), men go by some sort of approval or accreditation from man and then they not only believe but they expect from others full recognition and perks that they think (believe) they are (or should be) entitled to because of their position (calling). A leader, for example, is given the gift of leading to give leading to those he leads. A true leader knows that it is a gift and not a right and will prove himself by being a servant. Which servant at the Master's table can lord it over other servants or those who are sitting to dine? (Family or guests).
However, if the LORD is doing His work in and through a man for the building up and love of His own, then that man will be doing that which the LORD wills.
It's quite simple. He is not about nor into confusion. That is what man allows and partakes in.

Yet another way to put it is that if you believe you have unction from the LORD that He would have you, by His giving (gift), doing a certain thing, then walk accordingly. You will soon know if you were mistaken.
Do you fellowship with other men and have Elders whom you can talk to? If so, approach them and ask them that they may give to you that which they are appointed to do.

We are all called and our calling is to Come unto Me and Follow Me.

One last thing, if you are serving the LORD you must listen and hear what He says to you and do it. Do not rely upon man for praise for that is the undoing of many.
Read what Jesus said regarding those who love Him and the hate and persecution they can count as joy.
Remember that you're not serving a denomination or even a church but the King.

Bless you ....><>

Shew me Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths.
Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me: for Thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day.

Psalm 25:4-5

Welcome aboard @Mikalister !
It is always a joy to welcome another believer to TJ.
As far as guidance goes. The above postings from a Brother & Sister in Christ Jesus are spot on.

Much prayer and patience brother. Include your wife in this as well, since it will also affect her and your marriage.

I will add my prayers to yours that you will receive clarity, understanding, wisdom to walk the paths He will set for you both. Amen

[Pro 3:5-6 KJV] 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Once again be welcome Mikalster!

Thank you. If it is what it is then I know what my calling is. It's more of affirmation for myself through God. If it is what it is then I know it is not suppose to start yet.

As far as other people to talk about this I don't have anyone. Besides my wife. I feel like if I was to tell someone that they would think that I was crazy. I told my wife and she did not seem surprised at all. She actually told me afterwards that when she was little the knew that she was going to marry someone named Michael. (That's my name) and that he was going to do big things. All I need is confirmation. That's it. Only God can confirm it. I see God in the little and big things in life and sometimes I feel that he is talking to me through these things. But then I wonder if it's just my own thoughts.

Well, how God chooses to communicate, I dare never to restrict. Some are further in their walk then others. While some are walking in a way that allows God entry into their lives a lot easier then it might be for others.

Here's a story from a Sister in Christ Jesus I used to work with and who is now an Ordained Minister. She is one person I know who moves at the prompting of the Holy Spirit. However, she has wondered why, but it has never stopped her from doing whatever it was that she was being asked to do. Never stopping her from obeying. This is one story that I will share with you.

Prior to being ordained she was driving home after closing the church where she went to and worked at doing office work. She was almost home....,when she had a great urge that fell upon her to return to the church. Wondering, but not questioning the prompting from the Holy Spirit. She turned the car around and headed back to the church. Even though she was only a mile from her home and had to drive 10 miles back the way she had already come! Upon arriving. She found, a woman who was stranger to her. Banging on the church doors for all she was worth. Even though it was getting on evening time she got out of her car and approached the woman who seemed in distress. She asked the woman if she could help her at the same time letting her know that she worked at the church.

The woman asked if she could talk to her. My friend even though tired from a full day at work, and having illnesses which sap her strength and periodically has her in the hospital. Opened the church back up and proceeded to make the woman feel at home. After a little time, the woman told my friend that the problem was her marriage. Sadly, how often this occurs now a days! The woman continued to tell her that she was at the end of her rope. Not only in marriage but life itself. She said "If you hadn't come at the moment that you did. I had made a promise that if nobody answered I was going to kill myself." She had reasoned that if nobody answered then God wanted her to die.

This story is amazing in how the Holy Spirit will move us who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior after He starts to dwell in us. For whatever reason. Not everyone is open readily to such prompting. The toughest think for anyone, be they believer or not is obeying! It takes us out of our comfort zones. Too often man has no desire to change, and though it might be painful to stay right where they are. They will continue to do so no matter how much it hurts!! The adversary also has much to do with this.

I share this not to convince you to do this or not to do this. That is between you and God. I want you to just realize that if it is His will for you. There is a reason for it and that all the resources you will need, will be made available to you. Always remember my brother. He is our provider, Jehovah-jireh!

I will continue to pray for you.
