I wanted to first thank chris>>topher for the inspiration to sit down and let you all in a little bit. I too can identify with his path somewhat but I have just started my journey down the golden path. here is how I have gotten to where I am now. I was born and raised in a city about sixty miles north of san francisco named santa rosa. the area used to be wholesome and really townish but i guess since things have been going toward chaos this town has transformed into daniels lions den in places. anyway i have lived here pretty much all of my life and have seen the change. I was first introduced to church as a small child but never really was involved enough for it to count. then as the years went by I completely turned away from church and God and at 13 yrs of age found another form of release ......METHAMPHETAMINE...I fell in love with it from the first usage and it would control my life and direct my future for the next twenty years. I stole and cheated to get my fix. I did things that I know were so against the values I have been taught but it didnt matter I was a slave to the drug. It was inevitable that i would wind up going to jail, eventually that came to pass
. Even the birth of my first child didnt turn me from the path of death and torment I had placed myself on. My life just kept getting bleaker and more twisted I eventually became homeless. My life was just one big facade in fact it wasnt living it was just existing. Now for the million dollar question how did I come to christ??? It was through a young lady who was ministering and going door to door to invite people to her church in napa Named HOPEWELL BAPTIST CHURCH. It had to have been God directing me because I excepted her invitation and attended my first service almost 19 months ago and from the first day there I knew i wanted something better for myself and for my family. I was baptised and saved the first day I attended service , iI guess I was ready. I have been trying really hard to be the father my little girl deserves and the friend and co-parent to her mom. I know I have a long way to go but I also firmly believe HE has plans for me. Well thats all for now I just want to say thx for taking the time to read this little segment about me.
