2 Peter 3:6-7

7 But the heavens and the earth,which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire againstthe day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

6 by whichmeans the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. 7 But theheavens that now are and the earth, by the same word have been stored up forfire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodlymen.

6 This refers to the flood in Noah’s day, Genesis 6-9 is thestory of Noah. Only 8 survived the flood, other than the animals they had, Noahand his wife, Shem and his wife, Ham and his wife and Japheth and his wife,everyone else died. This was the first and so far only judgment to fall on thewhole earth.

7 The promise given to Noah was that the earth would neveragain end with a flood. This could refer to the world being destroyed by firebut most likely refers to the fire of hell which is where those who rejectChrist will go for judgment.
