New European Version 10 Chief among these are those that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise dominion. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries. 11 Whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not dare bring before the Lord an injurious accusation against them.
12 But these, as creatures without reason, born mere animals to be taken and destroyed, speak reproachfully in matters of which they are ignorant; they shall in their destroying surely be destroyed, 2 Peter 2:10-12King James Version (KJV)10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
10 There are those who say they follow Christ but they livelike the world. They follow after their flesh instead of following the ways ofGod, being lead by the Spirit. We should not follow after the things our fleshdesires because this is often sin. Paul said he does not do what he wants anddoes do what he does not want. We ourselves will struggle with our flesh. Theworld will do what they want and nothing will stop them. We should not expectthem to live like we Christians do because they are missing the most importantpart Christ being Lord and having the Spirit. They follow only what they knowand that is the flesh sin.
11 Angels may be our accusers. We are unable to do anythingwithout God knowing it. God is all knowing and knows our sins that are notcovered by the blood of Christ. If our sins are covered by the blood He mayknow them but sees the blood and knows we have been forgiven.
12 The world is going to hate us because they do notunderstand what we do our why we follow God if they did they would join us.They killed Christ because they did not understand Hi purpose if they did theywould have realized to stop Him they needed to keep Him alive but if they trulyunderstood they would have followed Him as well. To devote our lives to ways ofGod instead of the ways of the flesh makes no sense to those who live for theflesh, those of the world.
