1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Peter was proud of Jesus and had a happiness about being aservant of Christ, we should be proud to serve the Lord Jesus but the prideshould not be on us being should be in Christ. Peter was one the men who sawJesus on earth, Jesus made him an apostle; this was something Peter held dearJesus called him for this purpose. We should hold dear the purpose the Lord hasfor us but be willing to change if He leads us to something new.

Nothing moreimportant is faith by faith we receive grace because of Jesus dying for death.Christ died and thru faith in Him we can live.

Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

• Peter, had obtained faith.
• We all obtain faith, to come into possession and nothing we can do but it is given to us by the Grace of God. It is a gift and if a gift it is free and not a result of our own effort.
