[h=3]1 Peter 2:22-24[/h]King James Version (KJV)

22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

21-22 For you were called to this kind of life, as Isaiah said,
He did no wrong deed,
and no evil word came from His mouth.

The Anointed One suffered for us and left us His example so that we could follow in His steps. 23 When He was verbally abused, He didn’t return the abuse; when He suffered, He didn’t make threats to cause suffering in return; instead, He trusted that all would be put right by the One who is just when He judges. 24 He took on our sins in His body when He died on the cross so that we, being dead to sin, can live for righteousness. As the Scripture says, “Through His wounds, you were healed.”

22 Everyone is a sinner, Christ was the only one without Hisown sins but He did have ours that He bared. All that Christ ever spoke wastrue, He was the Word made flesh.

23 Jesus was hated by those who were blinded from the truthand did not see the light, we will also be hated by these people for followingafter Him, and they will want to do the same things to us on His account. Theyput Him to death thinking they would get rid of Him but it was according to Hisplan. They made Him suffer but, He did it for us. He fulfilled the plan of theFather and this is what we should do even if it costs us our lives as well, follow God’s will.

24 Jesus bore our sins, not His own because He had any ofHis own. He died so that we may live. Without Jesus we were doomed and withouthope. We live by His will and His Spirit carries us through our life. Hesuffered for our sake, He took God’s punishment for us.
