[h=3]1 Peter 2:19-21[/h]King James Version (KJV)
19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
[h=3]1 Peter 2:19-22[/h]The Voice (VOICE)
19 For grace is clearly at work when a person accepts undeserved pain and suffering and does so because he is mindful of God. 20 For what credit is there in enduring punishment you deserve? But if you do what is right and yet are punished and endure it patiently, God will be pleased with you. 21-22 For you were called to this kind of life, as Isaiah said,
He did no wrong deed,
and no evil word came from His mouth.
The Anointed One suffered for us and left us His example so that we could follow in His steps.

19 We should be thankful even though our persecutions. Theworld will watch us the most thru our persecutions; we need to stand strong forthe witness. This world will also cause us grief. This world has caused GodHimself grief which is why He ended once with a flood. As we become more like Godwe will grief the world more like God. Jesus was persecuted we will be forfollowing Him. To be persecuted is to follow after Jesus.

20 Glory is a reflection of God. There is no true glorywithout having God in our life. We should not look for our faults but look toHim for our strength. Our sins as believers are under the blood of Christforgiven and forgotten by God and we are not to feel guilt or bad for sins thatare forgiven even though the world will throw them in our face. It is not forus to question what God allows the world to put us thru but we should take asChrist did, even if it does cost us our life. Our faith can grow the mostduring times of trouble if we put trust in Him to get us thru the troubles.

21 Christ died even though He did nothing wrong, peopleexcused Him of wrong doing this could happen with us when the world can not seeour sins. The world will look to destroy us because we spread the truth whichcan expose their evil. The word will shine light of truth into the darkness ofthis sinful world.
