    History Of Pre trib-Rapture

He missed it True indeed. But what is truly interesting is how he missed this mention of the first resurrection when he himself mentions the second resurrection (of the unjust) just a few verses later. You would think he would have read verses 4-5 to get to the later verses in the chapter.

    Christian or Catholic?

Agreed. Catholics, Orthodox and Protestans all three agree on the Nicean and Apostles' Creed. And notice how many Protestant writers quote Catholic writers like St. Augustine in positive fashion.

    NIV

The KJV Denies that Jesus is God Picking out isolated verses, ignoring the manuscript evidence, and declaring that the NIV or other translations than the KJV deny that Jesus is God is cheating. After all, there are dozens of verses in the NIV that do say flat out that Jesus is God. So let...

    A question of Time

LET'S SYNCHRONIZE OUR WATCHES The time a thing happens can be important. Genesis 2:10-14 mentions 4 rivers in Eden: Pishon, Gihon, Hiddukel and Euphrates. The names don't help. In English the names are Gusher, Brook, The River and Big River. Those could...

A short trip to Heaven, Hell and back

A SHORT TRIP TO HEAVEN, HELL AND BACK, VIA ENGLAND In the creed it says; "He descended into Hell." Lets take a quick trip through the history of the English language. The word hell comes from Hel, the name of the old Germanic death goddess. When the Angles, Saxons and...

    Three Trinities in Genesis 1

The Trinity, a doctrine central and unique to Christianity, is hated by every cult. Yet it is taught throughout scripture, even if it is beyond human understanding. The human mind can't encompass it fully; we accept it by faith. This faith is not, as...

    NIV

The Gideons not only do King James but also the 'Modern Language Berkeley Version', which bombed in the market place. It did so badly (for some unknown reason) that about the only place you can get one is to swipe a Gideon's from a hotel room that has one. (I don't recommend this.) Actually...

    History Of Pre trib-Rapture

Indeed MAJ, I'm with you on this. The church should be preparing it's membership for persecution, instead of blindly leading it over the precipice! Exactly. Let us follow a version of Pascal's wager. 1. If the entire history of the church is wrong, and the pre-tribbers are right, we...

    Is it harder after Baptism?

While not necessarily worse right after baptism, I do agree with those who stated that the devil does sit up and take notice when you do turn to God, and is perfectly willing to ignore you and let the natural inclination to lead you downhill to hell. After all, Satan did throw an all out...

    Once saved always saved???

As a general thing, that is the one point of Calvinism where I tend to agree with Calvin and not Arminius. After all, if one is saved, sanctified and Spirit filled, and there is nothing you can do to merit grace, how can you lose it? How can the Holy Spirit erase your being born again? Yet...

    NIV

Obviously I cannot tell at long distance. Not even using my bifocals. What you have to do is look on the publisher's page. That page that usually lists the copyright, printing history and that sort of thing. That should have the information you need.

    Evidence For A PreTribulation Rapture

Before we even hit any of the individual items, it must first be pointed out that the evidence for the pre-tribulation rapture is far from overwhelming. If it had been, surely someone would have noticed it before the pre-trib theory was invented in the 1830’s. No early church father...

    NIV

Dozens of KJV Because it was not copyrighted, anyone could print a KJV, and call it a KJV. As such there are various versions of the KJV around, with minor changes here and there. Many cults do print their own slightly changed without mentioning it KJV since it is not copyrighted. For one...

    NIV

As to copyrights. The KJV was uncopyrighted for one (and only one) simple reason. When the KJV was made, copyrights had not been invented yet. They were not invented until the 1800's. It could not have been copyrighted until it nearly 2 centuries after it was made.

Okay I was wondering about what you think about 2012?

A very popular game is "Guess When Jesus Is Coming Back." The rules are very simple. 1) Ignore verses saying you can't know when it is. (Matthew 24:36 et al.) 2) Ignore that there are no secret codes or hidden teachings in the Bible. (Matthew...

Have you lost weight? what worked for you ?

It is THE hard part is simply starting it. After a month or so, I actually found that I was less hungry on the days I could eat and started eating less on those days. Of course the really hardest part was my family. They insisted that I was insane, killing myself, etc., and nagged and...

Have you lost weight? what worked for you ?

A few years back I lost 60 pounds in 9 months by using a method used by monks in monasteries. It is really quite simple, involves no dieting, keeping track of food etc. Namely, fast every other day. (Drink plenty of water.) On the non fast days, eat your regular food, whatever it is...

    BDD [Body Dismorphic Disorder]

I only get to use the internet for an hour at the library, so usually only get to answer off the top of my head. So a quick reply today, a longer one when I have time to think. Remember that we are made in the image and likeness of God. Catholics and Protestants both agree that this is in the...

its ok for man to cry

Yes, it often accompanies repentence, but is not the repentence itself. Sorrow is a bonus you can add on to the repentence. Like a radio on a car. you can have a perfectly good car without it, but a lot of people prefer a car with a radio.
