It has become well practiced to quote portions of Yehovah God's Holy Word by chapter and verse number as if they stand to be interpreted, standing alone. This a lie perpetuated by the spirit ruler . this world, Satan.
The presentation below is thanks to the Google AI and needs to be read by every person in the world addressing themselves to be a member of my family, the Christian Family.
Chapter Numbers (ca. 1200s)
  • Inventor: Stephen Langton, a professor at the University of Paris and later the Archbishop of Canterbury.
  • Timeline: Around the year 1205, he divided the Latin Bible into the chapter numbers still in use today. The 1382 Wycliffe English Bible was among the first to adopt this system. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Verse Numbers (1500s)
  • Old Testament: The Hebrew text was divided into verses by a Jewish rabbi named Nathan in 1448.
  • New Testament: Parisian printer Robert Estienne (also known as Stephanus) created our modern system of numbered verses in 1551.
  • Integrated Numbers: Estienne’s 1555 Latin Vulgate was the first Bible to integrate these verse numbers directly into the text. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
First English Bible with Numbers (1560) [1]
  • The 1560 Geneva Bible was the very first complete English Bible published with both the chapter and verse divisions. [1, 2]
These divisions were created to help readers locate texts more easily; they are human-made additions to aid navigation, not part of the original writings.
I post this here because it has become common to teach False Doctrin and this is done by dividing the Word in every possible manner, chapter, verse and, by word.
The verse offered as "proof texting" in one incident is Luke 18:30 who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.” This was offered as proof that nobody on earth can have Eternal Life before the day of the Great White Throne Judgment.
This verse(?) is not even a sentence. It is the last few words, drawn out of context from this paragraph:
24 Jesus saw how sad the man was. So he said, “It's terribly hard for rich people to get into God's kingdom! 25 In fact, it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into God's kingdom.”
26 When the crowd heard this, they asked, “How can anyone ever be saved?”
27 Jesus replied, “There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything.”
28 Peter said, “Remember, we left everything to be your followers!”
29 Jesus answered, “You can be sure that anyone who gives up home or wife or brothers or family or children because of God's kingdom 30 will be given much more in this life. And in the future world they will have eternal life.”
We must learn to read Scripture without the human imposed numbers and other manners that were never there before the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries, they destroy the true context of the writings.

God is available to every Saved Person in the world 24 hours a day, every day of the calendar. Ruah, The Holy Spirit, if you prefer, is resident in the Spiritual Heart of every Saved Person living on the Earth and will enlighten every single one of us if we ask in prayer and then wait for the answer. For this to work for me I must be in the Word, for others, I cannot say.

Now, Context; there are lesser, great and greater contexts for certain in the written Word of God but no lesser context will ever impute nor deny the greater nor lesser context.

That being said: The Holy Scriptures, from the first “In the beginning,” through the very last word of Revelation 22 is of one major context, Salvation For Mankind. In this we learn from Ruah that no single sentence, grouping of sentences nor passage of the Holy Scriptures can ever be fully comprehended without the light of all Scripture shining on it.

Beware of False Teachers and ask the Spirit living in you.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” To “rightly divide” means to handle Scripture correctly, recognizing God’s distinct dispensations. As God says, “…rightly dividing the word of truth,” this means to divide the truth from the truth

test everything by the Word to hold fast to what is true.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.”

Idk what exactly the number thing you talk about tho never heard of it..

I say Trust in the Lord tho!

This a lie perpetuated by the spirit ruler . this world, Satan.
Yes "Scripture Interprets Scripture". The numbers are useful for finding specific parts. When satan tempted Jesus during the 40 day fast no numbers were used to quote out of context but that didn't stop him.

I have health issues that affect memory and despite daily bible study can't remember much scripture. The Holy Spirit puts verses on my mind at appropriate times but not with numbers or even words but with meaning. I then have to google to find the verses that are in my heart and recognize them when I see them. I wish He did use numbers so I could find them easily.
