Words of true wisdom written down as inspired by the Holy Spirit, and yet also Jesus, simply because the Holy Spirit tends to point to Jesus and not Himself. Because some of the wisest people of Jesus's time on earth did NOT see Jesus as the Christ, only the simple, the more pure in heart, the ones the learned scoffed at as simple minded, only they were hopeful enough to see past all the religious leaders words, and see the words of Jesus as good and true and of God. Scripture not only slowly purifies us as we read it, it tells us if the spirits who speak to us (I know that many of you refuse to listen to any spirit and only to scripture) are speaking as a representative of God or of satan, because the Word is the backboard upon which we should always compare any spirit speaking to us.
