I'm not confusing anything, you not understanding what's written. I see you don't understand what law we not under and what law still on the table. God had Peter to clearly warn people about some of Paul’s writing. (2Peter:3:15-16) (v.15) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; (v.16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Now let us take heed to this warning, you can’t ignore all the bible and just concentrate on a handful of verses out of the writings of Paul. Because some of Paul’s writing is hard to be understood.
Paul is using Abraham in Romans 4: 1-5 to make a point of the faith you need, just like Paul wrote in Hebrews 11, about Abraham. (v.17) By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that received the promises offered up his only begotten son. Now here is the father of the faithful, and how did he show God the he had faith in him? By his works! This is merely saying that Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4). That's what Abraham did, and that was his works. Abraham didn't do the works of a Priest like in the days of Moses, in those days there were two laws given to Moses, they were the Commandments and the Sacrificial law. But the works Abraham did is what we must do, which is give up a lifestyle where sin has dominion, (ruler ship) over you. Sin according to 1 John 3:4, Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression (breaking) of the law. You must repent and be taught "The Word", of God's and keep his Commandments (judgments\statues). These laws are found in the Holy Bible; beginning with Genesis and ending with Revelation. Once this has been accomplished, you are qualified to be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and then you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Then Peter said unto them, "repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38).
You are not dividing the Word of truth rightly. You are twisting Scripture rather than reading it as God really meant it. You may claim to hold to all of God’s Word, but
you are misusing it to reintroduce a works gospel that God has already condemned.
Your entire argument is based on the premise that believers must keep the law in order to be saved. That is not what the Bible teaches. Romans 3:20 says plainly
, “By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight.” And again in Galatians 2:21,
“If righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” The law was never intended to save anyone. It was intended to be a mirror to show them their sin, not a ladder to climb to heaven (Romans 3:19–20).
You quoted 2 Peter 3:15–16 to insinuate that Paul’s writings are suspect, but Peter did not say that Paul was in error. He said that some men will twist his words to their own destruction, just as they do the other Scriptures. That means Peter put Paul’s writings on the same level as all Scripture. That passage is
a warning against false teachers like you who twist the gospel by misunderstanding Paul and attempting to force believers back under the law.
You quoted Abraham to make your point, but you missed the whole teaching of Romans 4. Paul says plainly,
“If Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God” (Romans 4:2). He then makes it very clear that Abraham was counted righteous through faith alone,
“before he was circumcised” (Romans 4:10). His works were a fruit of his faith, not the reason he was made righteous. You are confusing fruit with root.
You quote Matthew 4:4 about living by every word that comes from the mouth of God, but then you turn a deaf ear to the clearest words about the gospel:
“The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17),
“Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:9), and
“Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace” (Galatians 5:4).
Your definition of “repentance” is also wrong. Repentance is a turning to God in faith and a change of mind about sin, not a requirement to keep the law first before you are worthy to be baptized. That is works. The Bible says plainly,
“To him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:5). You are front loading the gospel with obedience to the law, which is not the gospel at all.
In Acts 2: 38 we are to repent and be baptized, but Peter was speaking to Jews who had just rejected the Messiah and were being called to faith in Him. They weren’t being told to keep the Old Covenant law before receiving the Holy Spirit, they were being told to turn to Jesus Christ.
You are preaching a mixed gospel of grace plus law, faith plus works, Jesus plus Moses, and Paul condemned that in Galatians 1:6–9. That is not just an error, it is a false gospel. The Word of God says,
“You are not under the law, but under grace” (Romans 6:14). The law condemns. Christ saves.
Repent of this mixture. Christ is enough. Believe the gospel. Trust His finished work. Don’t add to it, or you nullify it.
