Please share a miracle or miracles that God has done in your life.
Note that miracles are defined as:
''An extraordinary and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore attributed to a divine agency''.
I want to add to this definition and exclude from our examples, babies. This thread will just be too long
. All babies are miracles as life came from divine agency.
My list of miracles I want to thank God for! In no particular order:
1. When I got saved I prayed in tongues and saw a cross in the sky
I saw something different in my good friend and asked him what it was. He ran to his radio and played a Christian song. Explained how 'he gave his life to Jesus'. I was amazed at how his aura was so different. He explained how he had no more desire to sin. After this I walked through a corn field by myself talking to God. I felt convicted as a nun told me I was going to hell if I continued in the sins I was doing. I told God that if I was going to hell for the sins 'I was doing', He created me for hell as I cannot imagine a life without them. I was meditating on God, Jesus, the song, the nun and puzzled. A line from a song entered my mind 'turn your eyes on Jesus'. I looked up and saw a cross in the sky formed by clouds. I remember being sarcastic and saying it was just me reading into it. But then acknowledged, that those clouds were definitely moved a bit to make a perfect cross. That night I gave my life to Jesus and prayed in a new tongue all night. I had never prayed in tongues before. This is a personal miracle from God to me. I am only sharing it as scripture says we must share our testimony on how we came to Jesus. Thank you lord!
2. Escaped London bombings in 2005
I was on a train that exploded right after I got off it at Kings Cross station. I tried to board a bus that went to Moorgate, but the driver put his arm out and said no more passengers. The bus exploded on its way. Thank you lord!
3. Escaped a large car pile-up
I was in the fast lane and saw traffic slowing down. I could not see past the car in front of me as it was a delivery van. I could not find a space to move into the left lane that appeared to be moving quicker. I prayed and asked God for a space. A space was created. I recall saying ''Thanks Lord, I know you did that for me''. As I turned, smoke came from the van I was behind. The driver was slamming on his breaks as there was a pile up of cars in front of him. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw around ten cars hit each other. Thank you lord!
4. My sister rescued from a steep cliff
My family and I went mountain climbing. My sister was extra adventurous and took a path she should not have taken. She ended up being stuck on a steep cliff. There were two stones she stepped on to try and cross, only to realize she couldn't. When trying to go back, the one stone fell. She was now stuck on a single small stone with no way to get off except to fall 100 or so feet down. Her boyfriend gave up and said we need to call for help. I walked to the spot where she was, it didn't seem so bad. I saw a stone in front of her and was truly puzzled why she was panicking. I stepped on it, she quickly climbed over me to safety. She asked me what I stepped on, i said ''that stone there''. When I looked, the stone was gone and realized I had no clue what I stepped on. Thank you lord!
5. The presence of God entered an evil room
I was invited on a holiday by friends. We were staying in a nice house on the beach. We went out. I was the last come to the house that day. When I walked in I had the weirdest feeling. Something was not right. It was like there was a black cloud in the air. Everyone in the house was bickering and swearing. I prayed quietly for Jesus to enter the room. He did. The black cloud went and all the swearing and bickering stopped. The one guy looked at me and just started to talking to me nonstop. I later was approached by one of the girls. She said that they the one guy (who couldn't stop speaking to me) was telling them about his experience with satanism and wanted to do some witchcraft. She felt a dark cloud and evil presence in the house. When I entered, it immediately left. She asked about Jesus and is a Christian today. Thank you lord!
6. Presence of God and miraculous intervention with wrong spouse and a job
I went to the UK 15 years ago with a working Visa. I saved up enough money to give me three months to find a job. My fiance was to come over as soon as I got a job. After two months, I got news that my fiance was not coming over. I saw my bank account was empty. I was in a flat above a bar that would play music into the early hours of the morning. I got on my knees and said ''God please help me, I am alone, broke and annoyed as hell in this situation''. A warm presence entered my room. God literally made His presence real to me. Within the next week I I found a job and was able to pay rent before getting kicked out. Recovering from my fiance not coming over took a while, but God showed me how she was not the right person for me. I will not go into detail, just say that I thank God often that I did not marry her. Thank you lord!
7. Miraculous job
During covid the company I worked at retrenched 60% of its staff. The finance department retrenched nobody. This resulted in work being distributed among all staff and certain staff reshuffled. The new boss hated my old boss and gave me and my immediate department the worse positions available. I started looking for a new job immediately. I could not find one after 3 months of searching. I was driving home full of anxiety as I had one day left to find another job. If not, I would work in the new space for a full calendar month. I pulled over at a gas station. I prayed a short prayer to God, explaining how I was going to resign with no job. I could not bear a day in the new space. I got out the car, went and bought a doughnut. When I start eating it, my phone rings. I answer the phone and a recruitment agent that over heard me talking to her colleague five years ago, recalled hearing that I was in property finance. I went for an interview the next morning, got the job and resigned ten minutes before cut off. Thank you lord!
