8Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son. 9Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.

10Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye Are Not My People, there it shall be said unto them, Ye Are The Sons Of The Living God.

Israel Punished and Restored
2“Rebuke your mother, rebuke her,
for she is not my wife,
and I am not her husband.
Let her remove the adulterous look from her face
and the unfaithfulness from between her breasts.
3Otherwise I will strip her naked
and make her as bare as on the day she was born;
I will make her like a desert,
turn her into a parched land,
and slay her with thirst.
4I will not show my love to her children,
because they are the children of adultery.
5Their mother has been unfaithful
and has conceived them in disgrace.
She said, ‘I will go after my lovers,
who give me my food and my water,
my wool and my linen, my olive oil and my drink.’
6Therefore I will block her path with thornbushes;
I will wall her in so that she cannot find her way.

14“Therefore I am now going to allure her;
I will lead her into the wilderness
and speak tenderly to her.
15There I will give her back her vineyards,
and will make the Valley of Achor a a door of hope.
There she will respond b as in the days of her youth,
as in the day she came up out of Egypt.
16“In that day,” declares the Lord,
“you will call me ‘my husband’;
you will no longer call me ‘my master. c ’
17I will remove the names of the Baals from her lips;
no longer will their names be invoked.
18In that day I will make a covenant for them
with the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky
and the creatures that move along the ground.
Bow and sword and battle
I will abolish from the land,
so that all may lie down in safety.
19I will betroth you to me forever;
I will betroth you in d righteousness and justice,
in e love and compassion.
20I will betroth you in faithfulness,
and you will acknowledge the Lord.
21“In that day I will respond,”
declares the Lord—
“I will respond to the skies,
and they will respond to the earth;
22and the earth will respond to the grain,
the new wine and the olive oil,
and they will respond to Jezreel. f
23I will plant her for myself in the land;
I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one. g ’
I will say to those called ‘Not my people, h ’ ‘You are my people’;

Hosea 3 NIV

2So I bought her for fifteen shekels a of silver and about a homer and a lethek b of barley. 3Then I told her, “You are to live with me many days; you must not be a prostitute or be intimate with any man, and I will behave the same way toward you.”

4For the Israelites will live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ephod or household gods. 5Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.

He found her on The Auction Block, being sold, and he Bought her for "Fifteen Shekels of Silver and about a homer and a Lethek of Barley.:pensive:


There she stands, Naked, being sold as a "prostituting Slave" and he Buys her and cleans her up and take her home, There she stands shamed.
the Prophet of GOD, her husband, buying her from slavery and promising , I will love you, but be for me and no other man. and I will be for you.

I fell in Love with a "prostitute" and I bought her back, because she was mine.:pensive:

By the title of your post,i assume you are refering to your own predicament. I am trully sorry for the way your wife turned out and i am praying for your situation.

Now do not take this hard. But this is going to be a Big Curve ball for you.

Let this be known. I am not worldly, and never was into "The Oprah" or "Dr. Phil" mentality. but evidently you do not know The true story of redemption and how God has displayed even in HIS Christ, you are without this knowledge, even as The man that said:

I never played professional, But Have Played "Little League" but we won "Division Championship" and I hated those "Fast Drop Curve Balls" and I was a Home run Hitter, Clean up man! Third baseman, The Hot line!

PS. there is nothing wrong my wife, I could not be more happier in my life and I am glad that I married her! And the children of mines that came from between her legs!

And I could not be more Blessed! "The Providence of GOD"
