I have read his biography as well as “Luther’s”, “Huss”, “Knox”, “Wycliffe’s”, Whitfield, Wesley’s, Edwards, Polycarp, Athannnius, Irenaeus, Ignatius, Tertullian, Augustine, Thomas Aguinas, I liked “ and studied Biographies. Not church “dogma’s” and church doctrines.

I was a believer & thus saved and free before I was led to believe that Jesus wanted me to make a commitment to make Him Lord of my life. Having that zeal to follow Him before that commitment, led me to make that commitment, but afterwards, no matter how much the spirit was willing, the flesh was weak in keeping that commitment. Took the Lord a long time to get through to me but He was in me and with me always then as He is now, waiting for me to see the futility of it so as to ask Him for forgiveness for trying to finish by the flesh what was begun by Him in the Spirit and set me free to go back to resting in Jesus Christ for all things.

If Jesus asks you to follow Him, what do you think He expects from you? As your Good Shepherd, He expects you to trust Him that He will help you to follow Him.

After all, we are just sheep to Him as man is to God.. The difference here is the religious man has to rely on Him to help the religious man to keep surrendering from his efforts & will power in resting in Him to help him to follow Him.

Provers 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

That means if I make a mistake in the path I take, the Lord corrects me in the way I should go, because that is what a Good Shepherd does for those who place their trust & hope in Him to do.

What are you trusting Jesus Christ as your Good Shepherd to do for you today? Or are you looking at yourself in seeking to please the Lord in doing the best you can today in following Him?

When you find it too hard to do and you feel like you are ready to quit as some do when trying to keep that commitment to follow Christ, try talking to Him honestly by saying you can't do it and ask Him for help to help you to do it instead.

Thanks to the Father ( John 6:44 ) for revealing His Son to me ( Matthew 11:25-27 ) so I can believe in Him, by His grace & by His help, I obeyed His word by believing in Him and that is how I am saved as my believing in Him is a work of God too; John 3:15-21

He has restored me to the path of righteousness sake when I was led astray in becoming religious men by making a commitment to make Jesus Lord of my life which He had never asked me to do, but to believe Him that He is Lord of my life. He has set me free from all yokes of bondages whereby I rely on Him all the time as my Good Shepherd & Friend for following Him..

What can a child do, unlike religious men? Take Jesus at His word and believe Him.

What is hard for religious men to do? Surrender from their own works & pride to calling on Jesus to save them.

So how do we enter in? By believing in him. How do not come short of that rest? By stop believing in him and wind up being that religious man again, working hard in following Him.

Jesus reveals himself to people who obey.

John 14:21 The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him."

You are going against Jesus, for he tells us how to enter, and it isn't by just believing.

You have to repent of your sins.

There are some denominations that teach more than one baptism of the Holy Spirit. The scriptures plainly tell us there is only one baptism of the Holy Spirit.

And since that seal of adoption is not going any where, no saved believer can lose their salvation, even though not every saved believer will be ready for the Bridegroom when He comes.
