I Am That I Am

Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
Exo 3:15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘[YHVH], the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’
This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.

1. A name that denotes what he is in himself (Exodus 3:14): I am that I am. This explains his name [Yahweh], and signifies,
(1.) That he is self-existent; he has his being of himself, and has no dependence upon any other: the greatest and best man in the world must say, By the grace of God I am what I am; but God says absolutely -
and it is more than any creature, man or angel, can say - I am that I am.
Being self-existent, he cannot but be self-sufficient, and therefore all-sufficient, and the inexhaustible fountain of being and bliss.
(2.) That he is eternal and unchangeable, and always the same, yesterday, today, and for ever; he will be what he will be and what he is; see Rev 1:8.
(3.) That we cannot by searching find him out. This is such a name as checks all bold and curious enquiries concerning God, and in effect says, Ask not after my name, seeing it is secret, Judges 13:18; Pro 30:4.
Do we ask what is God? Let it suffice us to know that he is what he is, what he ever was, and ever will be. How little a portion is heard of him! Job 26:14.
(4.) That he is faithful and true to all his promises, unchangeable in his word as well as in his nature, and not a man that he should lie. Let Israel know this, I AM hath sent me unto you.

I mean God did not say I am who I am....He said to Moses Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh [I am/will be what I am/will be] Not I am who, but I am what....

At LEAST you honor His name!
AM- scholars are in constant debate over this- it's so old.
Only Trinitarians will insist it's "I am"- while ignoring that the same phrase (ego eimi) was used by many of them- even Judas!

Before Abraham was. +John 8:35; John 1:1; John 1:2; John 1:15; John 3:13; John 6:62; John 17:5; John 17:24; Psalm 68:4; Psalm 90:1-2; Pro 8:22-30; Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 43:13; Micah 5:2; Col 1:17; Heb 1:10-12; Heb 13:8;

Note: That our Lord by this expression asserted his divinity and eternal existence, as the great I AM, appears evident from the use of the present tense, instead of the preter, from its being in answer to the Jews, who inquired whether he had seen Abraham, and from its being thus understood by the multitude, who were exasperated at it to such a degree that they took up stones to stone him.
The ancient Jews not only believed that the Messiah was superior to and Lord of all the patriarchs, and even of angels (see Yalkut Simeoni on Isaiah 52:13; Bereshith Rabba on Gen 28:10; Zohar, Gen. fol. 88),
but that his celestial nature existed with God, from whom it emanated, before the creation (Netzach Israel, c. 35, fol. 38), and that the creation was effected by his ministry (Zohar, l. fol. 128, on Gen 49:11).
John 8:53; Exodus 3:14; Isa 43:13; Isa 43:15; Isa 44:6; Isa 44:8; Isa 46:9; Isa 48:12; Rev 1:8.

Churchianity is what you get when people think they know better than a loving God...Churchianity is always wrong
LOL You have to remember that we're interacting with humans like us...Humans are full of holes and satan is a great con artist....He has ALL of us believing lies in some area of our lives..You, me and everybody else on the planet.....but that does not make Gods Word false in any area.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Yes! It is like the phrase, or His "shem" (which we call a name) Yah'hoveh which in ancient Hebrew is a contraction which means the Yah who is. This phrase means the One that has no beginning and no ending.
