"The Kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU."

"He that overcometh shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he shall be my son."

...."to him that overcometh shall I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God."

...."to him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna...."

"And he that overcometh and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations."

"To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as also I overcame and am set down with my Father in His throne."

Once the spirit within a human has been quickened by the overcoming life of the original overcomer, Jesus Christ, it has been conceived, and has been given the power to become
a son of God. John 1:12
It is through spiritual gestation, as in physical gestation, we see through the glass darkly and hear faintly just as a new babe in the womb sees through the flesh darkly and hears
muffled sounds.
During the gestational period of a newly conceived son of God he will face many things that require spiritual growth to occur and this is by the hand of his Father. The things that must be overcome are mainly your old self and the things of the world.
In overcoming your old self, it is the destruction of the carnal mind, I.E. the renewing of your mind, that will accomplish this goal. Anything that is sent your way to destroy self is a blessing
and a testing of to what point you have turned away from the carnal nature you were born with. Another way to say this is to what point has the spiritual son within you matured to be
able to control the carnal mind and its desires, lusts, etc...at the same time the things of the world that the mind lusts after will fall away as the son within you continues to mature, and take control.

There are many things that the son must overcome during his gestational period in order to be birthed a mature son ready to live in the spiritual realm, just as a new babe must fully mature
in the womb before birth or it will not succeed at life if underdeveloped at birth.

Our goals in the gestational period, while still in the body, are through tribulations that destroy self. "......We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."

And if that kingdom is within you, then where should your focus be? Externally or internally?

The perfecting of you is done by the Father who will continually send tribulation your way to destroy what remains of the human nature that you have lived your entire life subjected to.
And that is always focusing its attention externally through selfish desires and lusts for the things of the world. SELF, SELF, SELF

We know that we will not see perfection until the first resurrection, but it becomes our responsibility to respond to the opportunities that we are given in order to become like
our Father, God.
As long as you remain in the body your sole goal must be to put on that new man whose qualities include love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and
temperance.
Your objective is to examine every situation in life to determine what the Father is trying to instill in you and respond to it accordingly by death of self will, or self preservation, as when
one saves his life he shall lose it. Meaning to retain the old is to forfeit the new eternal birth.

When we become consumed with the external we are being diverted from the maturing of the son within, therefore let your attention be internally so that the developement
of that son is full. As that becomes more and more obvious the works, peace, and love for others will flow no matter what is done to you, and yes that is a hard, narrow road
that our Father has put us on. He did the same to Jesus and expects the same from us, and so does our Lord Jesus Christ.

Continue to strive to overcome everything that you need to overcome and let no promise to the overcomer be left unfulfilled in your life. Let your time on earth be used to be matured,
so that when the time of spiritual birth comes you will be fully ready for the spiritual realm as a new creature which is a Manifested son of God.

Hmmmmm Isnt 'spiritual birth' the beginning of these things ?
Paul says very clearly that we are new creatures in Christ, as a result of His finished work and election.

True it is the beginning, as in the conception of the new creature (a son) however there is a time of maturation just as in the natural so also in the spiritual.
Salvation is the gift of God.
Your position within the kingdom is determined by your voracity to become a mature son.
Again John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
Hebrews 12:7 "If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he that the Father chasteneth not?"

Seems there are a few things that must still be done in order to be dealt with as a son. And only as the babe matures will it be able to endure chastening.

Col 3:10 NLT says it best "Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him."

This is not a passive exercise, as you are required to participate in the becoming, this is the gestational period that occurs prior to putting on the incorruptible, and acquiring the immortal.
The becoming is brought about through much tribulation as you push into the kingdom that is within you. The battle is an internal one for personal perfection.
When distress comes your way it is divine favor that shows you what of the old is left in you that needs to be put off, not an easy path but one that must be taken seriously as it is your
way into becoming what you are intended to become, if the choice to avoid tribulation is made then you shall hang on your cross all the longer for chastisement is perfecting.

There can be no doubt God desires 'sons' as mature believers.

When the Israelites finally crossed over Jordan after 40 years of wandering in the dessert they came unto a land flowing with milk and honey. Just one problem the land was already occupied
by 5 different tribes of what they saw as giants in the land, and saw themselves as grasshoppers by comparison.
Now at this point God says to them go and slay every man, woman, child, beast etc... of the 5 tribes and you shall inherit the land. The inheritance was through a promise but achieved by
their destroying enemies that were enormous to them. That were rooted in the land and at times joined forces to withstand the progression of the Israelite army. This scenario played out
for many many years as the Israelites were required to become warriors within many different generations to hold onto the land, which didn't always happen.

Numbers 13:29 "The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains: and the Caananites dwell by the sea, and by the
coast of Jordan."

So these are the 5.

What does the physical picture tell us spiritually?

Our battle for entrance into the kingdom requires much tribulation. This tribulation is a renewing of the mind. Romans 12:2 ".......but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind......."
Forgive, Do not resist evil, turn the other cheek, give expecting nothing in return, cause no harm to any man, do not return evil for evil, love your enemies and pray for those that
despitfully use and persecute you. These are all things that a canally minded person cannot do.

As mentioned earlier the kingdom we seek to enter is within us, and these 5 tribes that were ingrained in the land and seemed so much larger than the israelites, are in fact your own
5 senses that give input to the carnal mind that you inherited at birth. The carnal mind is the enmity that separates us from God thus its lusts, and desires for the things of the world
must be destroyed exactly and completely just as the 5 tribes that had the land that was promised to the Israelites.

"If thine eye offend thee pluck it out..........."
"If thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off..........." For it is better to enter into the kingdom lame, or with just one eye.................

As we see from Jesus' words these items of our flesh are inputs to the mind, sight, touch etc.... and these He said to discard so that one could enter into the kingdom if these offended us.

So the senses that feed the carnal mind must be starved to death so that the carnality of that mind dies, and a renewing of that mind that is not at odds with God is restored.
I.E. Reverse the curse placed upon the mind that you inherited. And put on the mind of Christ.

Now I think we can all agree that God placed the 5 tribes in the land so that the Israelites could destroy them and thus possess the land, and that your carnal mind was a product of
Gods cursing the mind of Adam which has been passed down to every child ever born through their Father? Except Jesus.

So why is the carnal mind there? To keep you out of the kingdom, to always keep you slaving away to fulfill its desires and lusts, and in doing so never enter into the kingdom.

So what is the conclusion of these things? Is it to war against ones own old mind? Yes!
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against
the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"

This internal war is the greatest adversary that your Father could give you to test and try you and ready you for life eternal in the spiritual realm.

Salvation is a gift.

Your possession of the land you occupy will come at a great cost, your old life, which truly is nothing compared to the new.
So from all this we see that your gestational period is one of growing up into Christ so that you will be found lacking in nothing at the last trump.

Your battle for the kingdom will last the rest of your physical life so best gird up the loins and prepare for battle, and not get distracted from your goal.

1 Co 15:31 "I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I DIE DAILY."

Luke 9:23 "And He said to them all , if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Being a follower of christ is far far more then just going to church every Sunday, and bible study wednesday evenings at someones house. Its a TOTAL rejection of the world, ALL of it and a new way of thinking spiritually and mentally. Many people cannot or will not grasp that concept. Heck, they dont even read the bible properly. Spiritual birth is a long and ardous journey with all sorts of trials and tribulations. If you havent had any trials in life, then you haven't even started the new you.

You have confused spiritual birth with spiritual maturation.

As soon as I declared I wanted to be a priest in early primary school, life changed dramatacilly. It would fill a novel the size of war and peace if I was to share my testimony, but suffice to say the enemy has been relentless ever since. It was from Spiritual birth alright. To this day I am still under attack.
