I am not sure wich one I am most like but my favorite one is Paul other wise known as saul. What timing on this question , i am currently reading ACTS and came here this morning to see if there are any threads on Paul, going to explore non biblical evidence to back up the biblical evidence of Paul's conversion from persecutor to promoter.

John - The disciple "Jesus loved". ( John 13:23; John 19:26; John 20:2; John 21:7; John 21:20; etc... )

I'm sure Jesus loved them all.... but John seemed to recognize it more.

I picked James for 2 reasons,he got to go with Jesus to raise a child from the dead.( mark 5:37-42) and 2.Because the first book Holy Spirit gave me understanding in, is found in James, just how powerful words can become in our lives!!( James 3:1-18) And for those who guard there words also obtain the gentleness of wisdom.verse 13.also Col 4:6

Peter. Impatient, aggressive, tempered, quick to speak and bold. Learning though, the evidence of the Holy Spirit's work in my life is as clear as daylight.

My answer was the same as @B-A-C,"the disciple who Jesus loved".
Jesus often called himself the "one whom God sent"and John completes that picture as one who he was sent to.
Instead of egocentric,Jesus was sentcentric and John was recievecentric but both were lovecentric.
Yes I just made those words up.

Like none of the 12, although the closest would be Barnabas. The man I am closest to in Spirit would probably be Moses.

B-A-C,

re: "John - The disciple 'Jesus loved'."

John is probably a good choice, but I'm not aware of any scripture that identifies the disciple that the Messiah loved as being John. What do you have in mind?

When John says it, he is talking about himself.

Ophel,
re: "When John says it, he is talking about himself."

How do you know that? What scriptural evidence do you have for making that assertion?

Ophel,
re: "It is generally understood that John is referring to himself."

But why is it understood that way? What is that understanding based upon?

I have given you a reply about that. Click on the link.

Hi Paul ex Saul I would say as I eventually let the Lord into my life after a long period of denial and changing my ways

James. He is simple worded and straight to the point.

My favorite is John
My most looked up to is Paul
But the one I most resemble is peter
Peter was pretty amazing he didn’t even think twice before stepping out on the water
You didn’t dare threaten Jesus when he was around, he cut that guys ear off just for grabbing Jesus!
He was the one to say Jesus was the messiah
BUT
HE was a human and did deny Jesus 3 times and Jesus asked him afterwards “ Peter do you love me”
Peter loved the lord so much when he saw him on shore he didn’t even wait for the boat to get there He just dove in and swam to jesus
But he did have foot in mouth disease which I can relate at times
Peter said “ lord surely you won’t wash my feet!”
Jesus said you can’t enter heaven unless I do
Peter was like “ well don’t just wash my feet wash everything :joy:
Or when Jesus told Peter he would someday die and Peter points to John and says “ what about him?”
Jesus says that’s for me and the father to know
In other words “ mind ur business” :joy:
Peter was always speaking before he thought and I do that from time to time
But that’s why Peter is one of my favorites he had zeal and he loved the lord
SHALOM:love:
