Pandemic Survival

I have been knocked down a couple of times by older drivers in electric scooters, just as there is a point when it is not safe to drive a vehicle, if your hands are not able to properly use the device to speed up or slow down, its time to send someone else to the grocery store.

There are exceptions in all situation Brad. Each person has their own issues, each person has a lot on their mind. Disability are not all visible, a person may so have bad eye sight, bad hearing, suffering depression, found out they have cancer, just lost a loved one, the list goes on.

Life isn't easy, especially as we get older, Jesus never said it would be, but at least he is there for us.

I have learnt over the years, no matter who we are, how old we are, where ever we are, no matter what we go through, there is always someone worse off.

I often think sometimes, amid the frustrations in life, things happen to test our reaction.

Bless you

I agree, and there are some overly speedy ppl on those electric carts, and most who are careful. I work at walmart and all the store owned carts are slower, yet I still got knocked down by people on those carts sometimes. The speedy carts are usually with someone who has more money due to whatever reason and want to go faster to get that sense of control back they had lost with their natural mobility. Those speeders should care a little more about those of us on 2 feet.

But these scooters are not just to get to the grocery store they are often the only way a person can get out and about to join in with the life in town, to feel part of the community, get some outdoor food on a lovely sunny day and to have a coffee or an ice cream on the square.
And you're righ too Pearl...

My mother in law was like that on a scooter...Muktuk Annie from Frobisher Bay!....but she was not just weak in mobility....She had dementia too...Yet she was a selfish booger on that ride. I think though that she was in a rebellious mood....LBD does that.

Sometimes one with LBD will be unable to tell the difference betwen a dream and reality...I woke up this morning in an absolute rage...but it was ten oclock before I figures out it was a dream I was angry at....I've woken up in the morning with blood all over my bed, cut my hands when I kicked the snot out of some guy who insulted my wife....a dream...Punched holes in the wall for similar reasons....All while I'm sleeping. I even beat the stuffing out of my wife in my sleep....I sleep alone now for safety reasons. Fortunately I have this trouble only in my sleep....When I'm awake and figure out whats going on, I'm fine.

Supermarkets can be frustrating places as you know Brad, over here it is Asda currently owned by Walmart. The places are even worse when staff are running their trolley with items to stock the shelves, blocking isles, etc. Which shows the frustrations all sides, staff are under pressure to fill the shelves, shoppers, able and disabled, are frustrated with their own issues, etc. time, not forgetting stuff, how much! I have seen many able shoppers come out of the store and haven't a clue where their car is, pressures and frustrations brother, we all have them.

As for myself I have a power wheelchair, I am extra careful due to by eye sight and being considerably deaf, but I couldn't count how many times a woman has pushed a push chair with child in into me. Some say sorry, some don't, it is because there are so many things on our minds, all of us.

If someone does bump me, they usually say sorry, and I reply, I am ok, Bless you.

Due to the pandemic I have not been to a supermarket since March 2020, I get a weekly delivery. In fact we get food, medicines, everything online, Amazon has certainly done well during the pandemic.

Peace and love brother.

A family friend came down with the covid this week in spite of wearing a mask all
day every day on the job. His case isn't bad enough to warrant hospital, and he's
breathing okay. It's mostly upsetting his tummy and making him a bit dizzy.

He's a little ticked off though because he's been led to believe that masking
prevents infection.

A misunderstanding I think Beetow, masks 'help' prevent against infections, IF the quality and effectiveness of the mask is adequate, IF the nose and mouth are covered at all times, and IF social distancing is maintained at all times.

To many IF's involved.

A shepherd says, my sheep got out, I do not know why, the fencing wasn't adequate. Like many masks, I think, unfit for purpose. Masks allow some protection subject to quality, of we can breath out, we can also breath in.

Those wonderfully stupid masks. Hiding your face from others. I had to go outside and take mine off, was feeling dizzy from not getting enough oxygen. Looking forward to retirement soon, so that I wont have to wear one quite so often.

It does remove a lot of pressures Brad, as you can pick and choose when you go out and pick quieter times to go out.

I don't use masks, I have a visor, it is a lot easier. That said we didn't go out for over year, we have been out a couple of times since restrictions have been lifted.

Bless you

Our friend's disappointment isn't due to faulty logic, rather, due to being misled by
faulty information; for example:

"Wear a mask, Save a life"

That wording is misleading. It ought to say you "could" save a life.

Quite a bit of the information out there about covid is written and spoken like
propaganda, i.e. it contains truth, but in some instances not the whole truth. I can't
say whether these half truths are deliberately meant to mislead people, but
nevertheless, intentional or not; it's causing people to go along with some wrong
ideas about this disease.

I think officials in most countries got it wrong, first in denial, then dealing with an issue they have not dealt with before, with views in their countries varying excessively, agreeing or disagreeing.

There have been mistakes, there have been wrong decisions, there has been misleading statements from officials, in every country. But there is no denying, there have been a high number of deaths, some countries more than others, depending how they handled things, or balancing guidance with strong public views for or against the virus, pestilence.

What stands out, to me, is the disbelief of the pestilence amongst saved souls, scripture clearly says there will be an increase in pestilences, we should expect them, but many have been in denial. It will no doubt be the same after the Rapture, those left behind will not believe the Rapture took place, they will come up with every form of denial they can think of, including aliens must have snatched them away. :joy:

They will also, no doubt, deny every Tribulation until it hits their doorstep.

Bless you

1Thessalonians 5:1 But as to the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need to have anything written to you. 2 For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 When people say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape.

So true my friend and that day is getting very close.

Time is short, keeping wicks trimmed and lamps full to the brim with good oil is paramount,
