Will GOD, warn us of HIS approaching, impending Doom? Or will HE slip upon This World?

Now what do we do with this text of “Holy Scripture”! And when do we apply it, since everybody else is asleep?

4But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.minded
Approaching impending doom? Are you planning on being left behind? God has been warning mankind since the book has been written and the reason it is the Living Word of God is because it constantly tells us what we need to know when we need to know it and will continue until the Rapture but woe to those left behind because the Living Word will just become words at that point with no more connection. Might as well be an empty book at that point. Following the Rapture the world will undergo a major transformation. The grid will go down and the Sun will not shine. Many things must come to pass before the glorious Day of the Lord. The New Jerusalem can then come down and evil will be defeated! I find myself looking forward to this event to be honest because the Lord has put up with enough. These people need to know once and for all who they have been mocking, denying, blaspheming, taking for granted, hating and ignoring.

Hello there,

Br. Bear quoted from the prayer of Ephesians 3:14-21 in reply #3, and brought my mind firmly into the surety of the hope which we have in Christ Jesus our risen Lord. For, in Him, we have no reason to fear the day of His return to the earth in judgment. For when He (Who is our life) appears, immediately prior to His return, we who are the members of His Body will appear with Him there in glory, having been raised up by the power of the resurrection and changed into His likeness.

We have been so identified with Christ, by God, that in His estimation we have died with Christ, been buried with Him, quickened with Him, raised with Him, ascended with Him, and are seated with Him at God's right hand, so that all that is required is that He should appear in glory, for us to appear there with Him (Colossians 3:4).

That prayer that Br. Bear partially quoted, is one, along with that found in Ephesians 1:17+, which we need to pray for all the members of His Body, for although not known to us, they are, bound together with ourselves by joints and bands, (Colossians 2:19) and are ministered to by the Living Head - Christ Jesus our risen Lord.

Praise His Holy Name!

'For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Looking for that blessed hope,
and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity,
and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority.
Let no man despise thee.'
(Titus 2:11-15)

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris
