I am sad many Christians take an interest in these theology discussions, but not so much about worshiping Jesus. :/

We aren't worshipping Jesus -- we are worshipping God.

While Jesus was here on earth -- He was both 100% human and 100% deity -- which was necessary in order to be able to die on the cross with / for our sins and then rise again bodily from the dead.

Worshipping God is done in many ways during a church service.

Theology is simply studying God's Word -- knowing what's in our Bible.

I am not sure I understood, because Jesus is God, and If Jesus is God, then he should be worshiped.

We worship Jesus the son, the Holy Spirit, and the father. I know God without theology, or even studying it, and this happens when I worship him. He gives me divine knowledge of him, and it is not during a church service. Church is just a building. God is within me. I am the church.

My way of worshiping is mostly through meditating on Jesus, or praying in the Spirit, or through praise dancing, which is my favorite. These ways are very effective in my life, but the church thing is not for me. I only like it at the start, or the end of the sermon, for these prayers, songs or biblical hymns. That is all. I also like it because I can meet believers but that did not help me much. I prefer worshiping God in private.

If I have not mistaken, but I do think you are the one that told me. You were a "Theologian" and I ask you, what field of "Theology" and I responded and said to you My field was "Reformed Theology" Theology Proper> Theology is the Study of GOD as presented in the :Holy Scripture" now "Christology' is the study of Christ. And the "School of Religion Studies" is the studies of Religion. Now i do know things have change. and Christianity has become, what ever a person choose. for that has been declared as well by the School of" Reformed Theology" before the Translation of the "Original Copied Text" into the common man's Language. per-se Luther, Tyndale, John Calvin. Without "Theology Proper" how could anyone know about GOD! It is impossible. If you understand Theology Proper, there is only one and only one GOD. all others are false. But one most know what Theology Proper is 1st. How could you have a Translation with out it. You Need that "Theologian"

Theology is the process of getting to know God. Apparently when you Did study theology -- you gave it your own interpretation which was faulty. or the school you went to didn't teach very well. I've also been to Bible college grew up in Bible. I do know a lot about the Bible.

We have the trinity = the Godhead. God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. They all have different functions but also work together. We do Not worship the Holy Spirit. That's one thing a person does Not hear in Scripture. Neither do we hear about worshipping Jesus Christ in Scripture. Through the death, burial and bodily resurrection of Jesus, we Do have direct access to God. WE pray to God the Father.

Your concepts do not agree with Scripture.

Humans are creatures whose existence began in the first chapter of the book of
Genesis. Well; it's not all that difficult to prove that Jesus is a biological descendant
of the those first humans; which means that Jesus' human element was created.

His Jewish enemies correctly point out that no one can be both creature and creator

Beetow -- Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came into this world in the form of a Jewish baby to Mary and Joseph. He died on the cross for our sins , was buried and rose bodily from the dead -- ascended back up to the Father after being on this earth for 40 days.

Yes, his Jewish Enemies for sure. They didn't want Him to Be the Son of God. They wanted Him to be just another religious teacher of that day. But the fact that He Did rise again on the 3rd day Proved He Was / Is the Son of God.

Jesus was both 100% human and 100% divine.. The only person born to this world who has that distinction. He was born into this world to make our salvation possible.

My degree is applied theology & performing arts; I also learned history, ethics, biblical languages, but I was more interested in the performing arts side, and I worked as a volunteer at a Pentecostal church for 5 years, while doing a bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at the same time. I am now a director of photography. I studied Wesleyan & Pentecostal theology. So, my current theology is more of Holiness-Pentecostal interpretation of the Christian faith, but I also know a lot about reformed theology. My father is a Reformed Baptist Preacher. I was raised in the Baptist Church, but I was not interested in the Baptist denomination. I was so very interested in the Pentecostal Ministry, because the Spirit of God is moving miraculously there. However, I am not a 'classical' Pentecostal. For a long time, I used to identify myself as a ‘foursquare’ Pentecostal, but now I am also moving towards non-dogmatic Christian spirituality. We just want to worship God, praise him, love him like he loved us. We want to preach about his love. We want to tell others about our experiences, and have a safe environment for all people.

I believe we need Jesus, not a theologian. We need to pray, and talk to God, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

KittyLinda -- Why did you spend time learning the applied theology / Biblical languages, etc. You've studied Pentecostal theology . Why?

If you really believe that 'we' need Jesus , Not a theologian - then why take all those theology courses.

The Pentecostal church is a lot of emotionalism. "speaking in tongues" is usually based on emotionalism. I've seen that happen.

Non-dogmatic would suggest that any kind of belief is okay. God's Word Is dogmatic. The virgin birth of Jesus Christ Is dogmatic. The death, burial and bodily resurrection Of Jesus Christ on the 3rd day Is dogmatic. The dogma / essentials of the Christian faith.

How does a person worship , praise, love someone who they barely know. Being filled with the Holy Spirit. Without a knowledge OF God / Bible -- doesn't it all boil down to emotionalism.

Sharing our experiences with other people -- yes. A safe environment for all people. Sounds very good -- in theory. "all people" covers a large range Of people. There are a Lot of people who are Not Nice and thrive on causing problems.

And all those things you mentioned in your last sentence -- we learn about all of that Through theology. Reading / studying God's Word so that we Do know what's in it.

I worship the Lord and savior on my face 3 times a days sometimes more, I go to prayer meetings that all we do is worship our Lord. The word of God tells us we should not neglect coming togeather, I go to church to worship the lord, I worship the Lord all day long for the most part in my head giving him praise

worshiping seems to be meant for people coming together as well as alone ,,

God seeks people to worship him

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.


Jesus tells us when 2 or more come togeather in his name he will be there, now that is reason enough for me to come to worship with other people
