If God instructs you through His Word, and if God’s Spirit offers the spiritual discipline needed to stay on God’s path and find rescue, then why be surprised when you choose to drop out of God’s Way Academy only to discover how lost you really are.
It should raise a long series of red flags when you find yourself devolving into this negative transformation. God calls it folly. He sends out the great spiritual signal flares to demonstrate His willingness to rescue. He wants you to know that, when you fail to make God-informed choices, you are lured away and won’t find your way back—without help.
If this is a search and rescue mission, then God is calling out your name. He knows where you are, but you will need to turn in His direction (Matthew 11:28), fix your spiritual eyes on Him (Hebrews 12:1-3), and return to Him to find rest (Matthew 11:28-30).
Prayer: Dear God, I am literally lost without You. I’m not sure why it’s so hard to admit I can’t do everything on my own, but I live with people who find themselves wandering away from time to time. Lead me back, welcome me home, teach my heart to keep moving in Your direction.
