Greetings dear brothers and sisters

How is your local area affected by Covid-19?
Are there shortages and restrictions?

Please share.

Let's use this thread to pray for one another....To lift up those in need and to thank the Lord for His goodness. ❤

In our coastal country town in South Australia which is away from the city, the supermarkets are depleted.
Fruit and vegetables are in good supply....Praise the Lord.
But items such as toilet paper, nappies, rice, pasta are out of stock.
There has been panic buying.
The streets are eerily quiet.

It's been similar in London for the past 10 days. Now we are on lockdown. We're allowed out of our homes to buy essentials, and to exercise once a day. I've been working at home for two weeks. Very strange being isolated in this way, and participating in church by internet video only.

I'm starting to get the first reports of friends and colleagues losing family members; others who are dangerously ill.

Also, there's evangelists who are doing creative work, finding ways to build relationships and develop conversations about the gospel at a time when everybody is thinking about life and death.

Very hard to say on my end. But shortages not quite sure.
People per se news, inconvenient I think in our area. I have been out maybe 2-3 times in the last 30 days. Just playing it safe. I had been paying attention since December, and perceived a “Pandemic” Now everyone around here is scared to death. Throw my words off like water on a ducks back. daughter flying across the world and everywhere else. Site seeing.
Now everybody is scared, it seems like I’m not. Everybody talking about it now, I am not. People has been coming over to your house, call them selves checking on you. Walking straight in, who have been everywhere! And they are your friends, who you have been warning or trying to since December and taking precautions. LOL! Look like everyone going to be expose. Personally I think USA and Australia, outside of “Italy” is going to be hit the hardest! And I think you know it too.
“Domino effect is suspected”. “Just take it one day at a time” the comfort we receive is “That GOD controls everything”. For we live in “The Providence of GOD”!

Yes there are extreme restrictions in our area. We can't walk 200m away from home. We can just drive to places not away from our province. For other places we need a special permit explaining the reasons. Praise to God we still don't have shortage of food and as a charity organisation we even still receive donations of it. We can not go out and perform our duties and work, therefore there is no income at the moment. As we are staying and living here all together in this Christian community, the only worry is that the virus doesn't come in, because if it really comes it will be really difficult to get rid of it as we are around 20 persons living under the same roof. I already had my doubts about this virus as several persons and myself included got flu for the past few weeks. I am already better and none of the others got really bad. We even called medical assistance to check out for one of the persons when he first got it, but they strangely didn't come and told us to call them back if he gets worse. But he didn't. So this is a reason to pray that God can keep us safe from this virus and even if we get it to give us a wisdom how to face the situation.

I hope so. Our faith is put on a test. Different kind of test. It looks like we are in front of something unknown. We feel discouraged sometimes here. In the same time we need to uplift the people next to us and give them hope. The only hope is in the Lord. The news concerning the virus are getting worse by day. And I am just thinking what am I doing for it, what can I do? Just to pray I think. I personally feel fine now. These past days I had some tough moments and felt discouraged and asked myself questions. I actually think that I received the answer, that yes I am here in the right place and time. So this it is. Just keep us in prayer. I think everyone needs it now.

I haven't been outside in weeks. Stores in my neighborhood are completely out of cleaning supplies like Lysol. We can't by more than two rolls of paper towel, which are like $4 each. We can't drive unless we're doing a grocery run or going to our jobs, if we still have one.
Personally, I'm on furlough, so I haven't been paid in weeks. But at least my hands are the cleanest they've ever been.

It's very much the same in Australia - cleaning products are virtually non-existent here too: unamused:

(I had to look up what Lysol is not being American and similarly here all disinfecting products have long gone)

Keep praying and praising the Lord.........He is victorious

A few weeks ago my little brother, 4, was suffering from a stomach virus. He wouldn't eat or drink, and anything he did consume he immediately threw up. In other words, he was letting out more water and nutrients then he was taking in, and we were all concerned he'll collapse from dehydration. My mom sent me out to the store to get Children's Tylenol to help with the pain and Pedialyte and Gatorade to help keep him alive essentially. I had to look through 3 different stores in my neighborhood before I finally found a shelf that was completely clean from normal Tylenol, but, thank God, not the Children's. I also managed to bag some Pedialyte in another store and gatorade in another. It's crazy out here.

Struggling with the virus from a "healthcare administration" worker perspective.

I'm working at "Multi Speciality Hospital" on a ward which actually is closed and soon will be converted to ICU. I've never experienced anything like that even when hospitals are exposed to many dangerous pathogens daily... Situation is changing all the time. In general we have many restrictions... There's only one problem. We don't have enough personal protection equipment so medical procedures are hard to make. Unfortunately, I can't speak too much but I believe that this situation could be under control as it should be. I don't blame anyone. Trying to stay safe as possible. :mask:

I'm thankful to the Ministry of Health because they're trying so hard to do anything to stop the process of spreading the virus. I can't say it's not that bad but history and my experience shows that humanity been struggling with much worse dramas. I talk to many people and I get a lot of informations so have many theories...

Still trying to stay positive and focus on good thoughts. o_O

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Here in South Australia schools reopened after Easter.
Restrictions are gradually being lifted.

There have been no new cases of Covid 19 .......Praise the Lord!

In the whole of South Australia there have only been 439 cases and 4 deaths.

People seem to be becoming complacent with regard to social distancing......no concern shown about a potential second wave.

Abortions are allowed, going to bars are allowed, or to the liquor store, the grocery store and home improvement store, and fast food. But you arent supposed to go to work unless you are considered essential, and getting any important health care work has to wait either until this is all over or you die which ever comes first. People are dying in nursing homes because our wonderful govt is sending covid19 patients there, and spreading it to the most vunerable. You cant go to church either even though it magically doesnt affect those going shopping retail for groceries or for home improvement supplies. Lots of governors are likening themselves to Hitler. In our little town, I think there was 2 or 3 cases reported and 1 death. And amazingly all other types of death normally occuring have magically dropped off the charts, almost as if many non covid19 deaths are being reported as covid19 deaths so that the health care providers can get paid alot more "because it was listed as such". So pretty much nothing special here, these arent the droids you are looking for.

That is a very fine question sister Grace. It really does seem to matter now where one lives as to there hardship. Here in Michigan, as most of you have heard here, there are not to many happy campers! For fear, and doubt and worry have all combined to form a very major storm over our State! What if!!!! The media has helped very little to bring any kind of calm to the situation! In fact it seems in most cases they love to talk about doom and gloom.

What if this does not go away soon? What if our President is wrong getting the country back to work again? The expression what if is used as doubt, rather then what if this goes away soon? What if we do find a vaccine by Christmas Day? What if the people rise above this horrible plague? What answer shall the Lord give to his people concerning this event?

Where are the so called mighty men of God now? They have cursed this,by faith, they have lied about the reason, and now they are in hiding like most folk. I have found this to be very true brothers and sisters, that if we do not follow Jesus instructions about examining ourself,( 2 Cor 13:5-8) The Lord will!!! ( Rom 13:11-14) The bell is ringing to alert believers that this life is not about how you play it to live, but rather about what we do ( James 1:22) according to who or what we truly believe in!!

And we believers are finding out just how secure we really are! This is no time no matter what we have faced to ever give up!( 1 Cor 10:13) How long would you hang around a person who always ignores you? Would you look to get there attention in some other way?

If you love them and truly care about them, you would find a way! In our house all is very well! My brother has been working through all of this as he manages a grocery store. And WE ARE, AND STAY directly in God's Will!!! HOW??? By being and staying thankful for what we do have!!( 1 Thes 5:18) Looking is every way to encourage weaker ones in the Lord and most importantly looking always to be LED by him not me!( Rom 8:14-15) Do not despair!! Fear NOT! ( Rom 8:28) May every blessing always find you!!( Psalm 27:13) and always find you, both in mind and body most well in and through our Lord Jesus!!

Well, here in Italy the measurements have slightly calmed down. Now we can finally move a bit and start working. There are still contaminations, but less than before. There are warnings anyway, that there might be a second wave for which we need to be ready. We are still to discover the true consequences that this virus has brought to the economy.
I don't know what to make up of this virus. There have been a lots of conspiracy theories going around. I only know that it is a hard time all of us are going through and the Lord has predicted all of this. We only have to trust more in Him.
In this past time we've been going deeper into our relationship with the Lord and we've been learning how to trust in a deeper way in Him. Something that maybe in the future we will need more than ever. It is been a time to teach us how to awake from our sleep (at least for some of us), and to get out from our comfort zone, in which we were sometimes so used to be in.
Harder times will probably come for the Christians, if not in this, then in the next generation.
And I believe this one is to prepare us.
May the Lord bless all of you and keep on trusting in Him.

Personal update:

At the moment here in Poland we have about 20.838 cases.
In my city we have 94 confirmed cases.

Yesterday I've been delegated to the other ward's office just to support and help a little bit with some paperwork. It's normal since a lot of people from my hospital are under quarantine...
Today I got a phone call that I must come and do the test because one of the doctors has coronavirus.

I will get my results tomorrow

Psalms 18:1-6 KJV
I will love thee, O Lord , my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord , who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. In my distress I called upon the Lord , and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

That's a great choice of psalm for times of great anxiety. Praying God keeps you safe.

We live on top of the Pennines in Cumbria. Our town is the highest market town in England. we are eleven hundred feet above sea level and twenty miles from the nearest town of any substance. We have two small supermarkets and a health food shop and between the three, there is a supply of all our needs. People don't panic buy because we are a small community, (around two thousand) and everybody is there for one another. I live in a house with a garden front and back (rented) and am actually enjoying the lockdown. Our children run our errands for us and when they shop for us they refuse to take any money, they wipe the shopping before delivering it and keep distance by staying outside our front gate, so we are not badly off. I feel for those in high-rise buildings and densely populated areas and especially those who live alone. The most important service we can render is prayer, for our government and our people and give thanks to the Lord for his love for us. I pray that the Lord blesses all at talk Jesus, your homes and your businesses and your families. Amen.

not my area,,,, but Roatan is an island off the northern coast of Honduras , and this past few days a ministry I partake in is preparing 100,000 meals to feed families through our brothers ministry over there.

you ask why?? because this Island is in complete lock down since march, and nobody is allowed on the island, what that means for a economy who survives on 85% tourism,, is people are starving to death, not only is there no work, people are only allowed to go to the grocery store once every two weeks,,,, and after waiting in line for two hours and they get there groceries they walk home and most people are all robbed at gun point for there food.

So when we get there 100,000 meals sent over to them guess what else we have to do, our ministry has to hire armed guards to make sure the food gets to the families it is attended for.

For me the virus has been a blessing spending more time with people in Love with Jesus and want to serve, but for others it is a matter of life and death, most third world countries people rely on the daily pay check to just feed there family and when your not allowed to work you starve to death.

Please pray for safe delivery for this food to reach Roatan,, it still has to be trucked to Miami then put in container and shipped by sea. All prayers are appreciated.
