Laying down your life is not about you summoning up your own courage and strength to do a mighty thing for God. It's about surrendering to his Lordship and depending on his grace.

And it's probably healthier to concentrate on everyday submission of our lives to God - generosity, self-control, prsyerfulness, truthfulness - than thinking about a dramatic final encounter.

And in current pandemic situation, do not put yourself at risk. Doing so may cause the infection to spread and do more them than good.

Kind phone calls to neighbourd and offers to collect groceries sre the most helpful sorts of response now. Offer to pray for people.

When the weather permits Do be outside walking or whatever. The exercise will help us keep perspective. When we Do see people -- Smile -- say "Hi".

Hopefully there will be groceries available To get / help deliver.

On FB the other day someone was saying that we're Not hearing about the thousands who've had the virus and have gotten well. The latest victim happened to be a 90 yr old person. We are All at risk for dying. It's part of life.

Let's simply make sure 'we' are ready Spiritually - Now.

In times like these, the people of the world will show their love for one another. By their benevolence’s,,, if so, how shall we show our love. Or is our love Express the same benevolence. If so, then there is no difference. Then a can of soup is a can of soup, no matter who is pouring it. A helping hand is a helping hand no matter who hand it is. A kind word is a kind word no matter who lips it falls from.
In times like these how do we suppose to make a difference!

In times such as these -- we obey the law like everyone is supposed to. It's good to want to bring a cooky or whatever else is needed -- but some of those things need to wait -- offer to pick those things up for a neighbor -- but knock on their door to let them know you're there and then leave Without the hug or handshake.

The elderly in fascilities are quaranteed there for a reason. To protect them. And those that are at home -- call them and say "Hi" -- do not approach in person. There will be time for all that in a bit. Just not right now.

Yep. Godly wisdom in these circumstances is about considering how to exercise compassion and responsibility together.

Quite a bit of my work concerns people who are homeless. I'm young enough and healthy enough to not be worried about the effects of the virus on myself. But having to consider very carefully how much I protect myself from infection so that I am not passing it on to others who are more vulnerable. On the other hand, it doesn't seem good to be retreating into the personal safety of self-isolation.

Well -- for the sake Of our personal health and that of others around us. Sometimes love and concern for others is shown by what we're willing to forego for the time being.

Our pastor was talking to us last Sunday -- about following the directions of those in authority over us. No one says we'll Like it -- but how often when growing up do we do things we're told to even when we Don't like it.

We're not really proving how 'good' we are as Christians by Not complying with local restrictions. Maybe we need to show others a good positive attitude Towards these restrictions that are being imposed now. Find creative ways to get together with up to 10 people -- maybe in our backyard or in the city park. As I was sharing with another person yesterday -- where there's a will , there's a way. but Not by breaking the law.

The only group I'm 'against' are those who don't teach Jesus Christ as the Son of God // His shed blood being sufficient to cover our sins. and His bodily resurrection.

As a conservative Baptist -- I'm not against other denominations.

The RCC is 'against' Protestants because they see 'us' as rebells.

So the group that Is right is the church that teaches that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that His shed blood is sufficient for taking care of our sins. Nothing else is needed. And we Are to reach out to those around us with the Gospel unto salvation.

I’m a “Calvinist”

Why follow another man who's name was John Calvin.

Why not follow Jesus Christ the Son of God. His Word.

For your information by going by the term “Calvinist” does not mean you following the teachings of John Calvin. And Christians they just do not get it. And it is sad. Concerning following him, most likely , if you belong to a “ institutional church” and its set up and study a KJV bible you should be label a “Calvinist”. And not me.

You see they call us “Calvinist “. Just like in they called them “Christians”.

if we should be called a name, it should be “Augustinians”! Not “Calvinist”.
