Misogyny

I always find it annoying when some man w a well paying job and a housewife calls me a feminist for providing for my kids. Imagine you shouldn't have to work. Lovely. If I win the lottery I stop. I would become the housewife and my ex would have revival and get paid. Then the kids were there and ppl gave even less and I had to work. He refused to take a regular job. They even tried to force me to work more to give him alimony. Feminism means you can have 2 curses: working and birth pain. The men be like: you work. I go sit home.
Never met a man who wanted to provide. They always want to live off me. The last one, my dad got furious when he visited. Are you another lazy jerk who's after her and my money? We ate and dad left the table to eat pizza on the couch.

Genesis

But God created Adam, then created Eve to be a companion and helper for him, to be Adam's wife.

The male was to hunt and bring home the food, the female was to look after the home and the children.

God had said, go forth and multiply, the man had a lot to do to feed the family, the woman had a lot to do to look after them and the home.

What does a wife do if the husband has no interest in working and supporting the family leaving the wife to be the sole income bringer?

There are certainly men who are lazy, free-loaders. There are men who don't to work or support their families. The Bible has plenty of verses
about how men should be and live. It says men who don't provide for their families are worse than infidels. Sometimes women have to work.
Sometimes they don't marry, or marry late, or divorce early, or the husband dies, or the husband's income alone doesn't make end meet.
It is not always a woman's choice to work. There are actually more verses about how men should be in a marriage, than there are verses about
how women should be. This thread started off a little one-sided, but it was meant to be. We can start another thread about lazy men
who don't provide for their families if anyone wants to.

But this thread is really more about the women who want to have a career rather than be married, or rather rescue pets than have children,
or rather be "in charge" of a household than those who "have" to work, because the husband "ran-off".

Much of this is really nobody's fault, but everybody's fault. We all need 3 new cars, 3 televisions, high speed internet, 3 computers, 4 of the latest cell phones,
The best house we can afford (even if we really can't afford it) cable television, a few gaming consoles, some off-road toys, and a boat.

We don't "need" any of those things. We "want" those things. And often, because we want.. and want.. and want... both parents have to work.
In the meantime... who is raising the children?

Yes that's crazy. I live in a 2 room apartment with 3 kids. We've only got bikes. Sure a house and a car would be nice, but then I would never see them. When they were smaller and whined about wanting to have stuff, I said: you can get all that expensive stuff and never see your mom or not so much stuff and I'm home more.
Lot of reformed women are housewives and they just live cheaper. They have 100 a week for groceries. Some women can't handle it though to be w the kids full time and I see nothing wrong with her then working 2 days and dad working 2 days less.

I saw one grandma complaining. Her first kid got 3 kids. Both worked. She could raise em. Then the 2nd one said: hey you did it for them too. We're gonna work and you can raise our kids. You're old fashioned and used to it and you have nothing to do all day anyway.
She complained on internet that she had enough of it.

A kid from my son's class always played w him. They played at his grandma's house or here. I always biked him back or picked my son up. Then he came play another day. He had to be brought back to aunt. We went to the playground. He slipped and fell from a small plaything and broke his wrist. I rebuked the pain, so he didn't cry all the time. Called the doc. Go to the hospital on the other side of town. Sat on my bike behind. Biked him 20 mins to aunt. Aunt's not home. Okay let's go to grandma. Grandma's not home. Oh my other grandma lives next to her. Lets go there. Thank goodness granddad was home and had a car and brought him to the hospital.

What does a wife do if the husband has no interest in working and supporting the family leaving the wife to be the sole income bringer?

Greetings sister,

We can look at the world today and we can look at scripture.

Genesis 3:17 (GN)
And he [God] said to the man, "You listened to your wife and ate the fruit which I told you not to eat.
Because of what you have done, the ground will be under a curse.
You will have to work hard all your life to make it produce enough food for you.

Genesis 3:17 (NIV2011)

17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.

Genesis 3:17 (NKJV)
17 Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life.

Unless he is ill, disabled or dying, he is to work and toil. God's words.

I would be asking questions, Is he saved? Does he know God's Word? Was he always like this? Has he become like this over time?

If he is not ill, disabled or dying, he is very selfish.

There are so many things in life we can say this is done because of that, or why should this not be allowed because of that, there are always two sides to a coin.

It is wrong and selfish to be lazy and let others do things for you, unless you cannot do them.

I have a daughter like that, she will always let someone else do something if she can, it is a case of being firm and sharing the load.

How long would a person be in work if they didn't do there job?

I do not know the age of this person, these people, they may be elderly, often the man does nothing because the wife has always done things at home, whilst the man is at work. But if the man is at home he should pull his weight.

Again not knowing their age, these people could be young, it is common, is it not, in this world at present, that many young ones will look for whatever way they can find to get money without having to work for it. Claim, claim, claim.

When a man and woman come together in marriage they share the burden of making money for the family, the home, etc.

Gen 3:17
You will have to work hard all your life to make it produce enough food for you.
