NEW HEAVEN/NEW EARTH - THE ETERNAL HOME OF EVERY SAVED BELIEVER IN CHRIST JESUS

There is some debate about this. Satan will be gone. He can't influence anyone anymore.
But... there are some interesting verses about whether there will still be sinners after the New Jerusalem comes down.

Satan will be gone, that is good, I do agree with what you say , he can't influence any more but...

Could it be a final test?

Can the born again, from this stage, fall away.

We will be allowed to come and go from the Holy city on to the new earth. The devil can't influence but, what about those who Jesus said are 'least in the Kingdom of Heaven'.

Will some go onto the new earth and not want to be with Jesus, not return to the Holy City?

Those last two verses refer to inside the great city not outside. It is garden or Eden restored and made better. It is the glorious bride of Christ, His Church, within the city walls.

I believe this is correct. But will our new glorified bodies need healing? Or are these leaves... for someone else?

The word, "healing" in Revelations 2:2 is where we get the English word, "Therapeutic" If there is anything the Church loves to do is "eat". We automatically eat not thinking we need to eat to survive, but because it tastes so good!! The word "therapeutic" also means "beneficial, and good" I do not believe "healing" speaking in Revelations has to do with healing from sickness, but the Lord God knows we like it eat a lot! The "leaves" which receives light is what causes the fruit to produce on a tree.

Then I wonder what the fruit is for?

Ezek 47:12; "By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing."

Rev 22:2; in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Rev 22:14; Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
Rev 22:15; Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

I'm not sure all will be "born again" at this time. That isn't a statement, but more of a question.

There are more questions than answers, sorry that is a song.

But there are lots of answers for us to question.

I will be back later to add a few thoughts. They will probably lead to more questions

But it is good to chat and discuss these things together, they raise other scripture references we may not think of on our own.

Bless you

Mic 4:1; And it will come about in the last days That the mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills, And the peoples will stream to it.
Mic 4:2; Many nations will come and say, "Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Mic 4:3; And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they train for war.
Mic 4:4; Each of them will sit under his vine And under his fig tree, With no one to make them afraid, For the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.
Mic 4:5; Though all the peoples walk Each in the name of his god, As for us, we will walk In the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.

What is the biggest mountain on the Earth today. Mt Everest... but it says here there will be another mountain .. the "chief of the mountains".
Verse 2 says this will be at Zion, (presumably Mt. Zion) at Jerusalem. It says God will still be judging "between many peoples" at this time.
But there won't be anymore wars. Apparently we will all have fig trees in our yard in heaven.

....

Mic 4:6; "In that day," declares the LORD, "I will assemble the lame And gather the outcasts, Even those whom I have afflicted.
Mic 4:7; "I will make the lame a remnant And the outcasts a strong nation, And the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on and forever.

It sounds like there will still be crippled, lame people that might need healing at this time. God says "even those I have afflicted".
The Bible does say God has afflicted some people.

But I noticed here it says... God will "reign over them.... in Mt. Zion... from [then] on, and forever".

Is Mt. Zion, where the New Jerusalem will be?

Psa 48:2; Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion in the far north, The city of the great King.

Psa 48:4; For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, They passed by together.

Isa 2:3; And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Isa 8:18; Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.
Isa 24:23; Then the moon will be abashed and the sun ashamed, For the LORD of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And His glory will be before His elders.

Jer 31:6; "For there will be a day when watchmen On the hills of Ephraim call out, 'Arise, and let us go up to Zion, To the LORD our God.'"

There are many earths. We are not the only planet occupied by people in the universe. God is continually in the earth making business. Leviticus 1 touches on this a bit.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Who is teaching you the scriptures?

Revelation 21:1 (NKJV)
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

The quote you mention is Revelation 21:1 see below

It refers to what John was allowed to see and was told to write down, it refers to the new heaven and new earth that will be created following Christ's Return in Glory.

The New Earth will be the existing one restored, heaven and earth will be joined as was the case with Adam and Eve before the fall. John tells us he saw the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven onto the new earth.

Read Revelation chapters 21 & 22 it tells us a lot about every Saved believers future home.

Bless you.

Is Mt. Zion, where the New Jerusalem will be?

Greetings brother, thanks for touching on Zion.

There is some misunderstanding with the term Zion, basically Zion is the 'Church'.

Some think ministers in the Church are Zion and the believers are the New Jerusalem. Others say all are Zion.

My personal belief is, that we are all as saved believers part of Zion, we are all as Saved believers part of the Church.

Zion and Jerusalem both are the same. Jerusalem denotes church, the body of Christ.
The church is in heaven and it is called New Jerusalem and Heavenly Jerusalem.

I share this as it saves me a lot of typing and sums things up far better than I can

THE NEW JERUSALEM CHURCH

There are various opinions prevailing among Christians about what is Zion and who is Zion. Some say that ministers are Zion and believers are New Jerusalem. Some others say that all are Zion. There are also numerous other opinions. Let us discuss Zion in the light of Scriptures.

There are four hills in the city of Jerusalem of which Zion is one. Till the days of David, the Jews could not capture Jerusalem. It appears that the city of Jerusalem was built even before 2000 BC. Melchizedek was the ruler of the city, which was then known as Salem (Gen. 14:18). Israelites entered into Canaan in the year 1450 BC. During that time Jerusalem was inhabited by Jebusites and was known as the city of foreigners (Jud.19: 10-12, Jos. 18:28). Till 1000 BC, that is until the time of David, Israelites had not captured Jebus (Jerusalem). King David captured Jerusalem. "And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spoke to David saying, "You shall not come in here; but the blind and the lame will repel you", thinking, "David can not come in here"". Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion and it became the city of David. On that day David said, "Whoever climbs up by way of the water shaft and defeats the Jebusites (the lame and the blind, who are hated by David's soul), he shall be chief and captain". Therefore they say, "The blind and the lame shall not come into the house".

So David dwelt in the stronghold, and called it the city of David. Then David built all around from the Milo and inward (II Sam.5: 6-9)(NKJV). The hill land Moriah where Abraham took Isaac to sacrifice was also here (Gen.22: 2). It was on mount Moriah that the Jerusalem temple was built. The threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite was located in this mount Moriah. In this Jerusalem, the temple of the Lord was built (II Chr. 3:1).

Zion is a hill lower than the mount Moriah where the Jerusalem temple was built. Here David built his palace. This place was known as Zion and the city of David. On many occasions, Jerusalem was mentioned as Zion (Ps. 87:2,3; Ps.74: 2; Ps. 126:1; Is. 8:18; Jer.8: 19; Mica. 4:2).
Zion is a place in Jerusalem. Jerusalem or daughter of Zion signifies the children of God (Is. 1:1; 40:1,2; Zep. 3:14). With this view, the early Christians called the kingdom (church) established by the only Son of God and Messiah Jesus Christ, as New Jerusalem or the Jerusalem above (Gal.4: 26; Rev.21: 2).
Zion and Jerusalem both are the same. However Jerusalem denotes church, the body of God.
The church is in heaven and it is called New Jerusalem and Heavenly Jerusalem. This Zion is in heaven, in the Heavenly Jerusalem. Jesus Christ is the corner stone forming its foundation (Is. 28:16). On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came down on the apostles and others who gathered there along with them.
The church (Zion) was established on earth. The apostles were its foundation stones.

The believers who were living stones joined with them and the church of God was established in Jerusalem (Eph.2: 19-22; I Pet.2: 4-6). Unlike the early Christians, that church had backslided in later days and worldly way of worship entered the church. The church lost its glory with the entry of the world. The church was the true city. The early church lost the leading of the Holy Spirit and was filled with unsaved wicked people. We read in Isaiah 1:21, "See how the faithful city has become a harlot! She once was full of justice; Righteousness used to dwell in her - but now murderers!" Zion was in Jerusalem. Zion was a part of Jerusalem. "For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem" (Is. 30:19). Zion is in the true church. The restoration of Zion had been foretold in the Scriptures. "I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city" (Is.1: 26,27).

In these last days, the Lord is rebuilding Zion. The Lord will appear in His glory only after the building of the church is completed.
"For the Lord shall build up Zion. He shall appear in His glory" (Ps.102: 15). "It shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord's house (church) shall be established on top of the mountains (above all churches). And it shall be exalted above the hills and all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall go and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways and we shall walk in His paths".
For out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem (Is. 2: 2,3).

We read in the Scriptures: "who confirm the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers; who says to Jerusalem, `You shall be inhabited', and to the cities of Judah, `you shall be built', and I will raise up her waste places" (Is.44: 26). "The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel" (Ps. 147:2). "Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is the mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King" (Ps. 48:2). Not many cities but a single city (Eph. 2:19-22). This is being firmly joined together and built.

The ministers of New Jerusalem Church, similarly, are firmly joined together. Those who do not fit will be thrown out.
The ministers of New Jerusalem Church are greatly concerned for the stones of the building (the ministers are mindful of the believers) (Ps. 102:14).
On the other hand, the ministers of other churches, which do not deserve to be called the church of God, are worrying for themselves alone. "For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame- who set their mind on earthly things" (Phil. 3:18, 19). "Return, O backsliding children", says the Lord; "for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days", says the Lord, "that they will say no more, `the ark of the covenant of the Lord'. It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore. At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the Lord, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem; they shall walk no more after the stubbornness of their evil heart" (Jer. 3: 14-17). Thus the Scriptures give a clear account of the matter. These are the last days. There are a large number of false ministries and ministers who are led by their own spirit rather than the Spirit of God (II Tim. 3: 1-9). We are warned about the emergence of teaching of demons and of liars who would forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods (medicines) created by God (I Tim. 4:1-3).

However the true church would be elevated. " Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bowing to you, and shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; And they shall call you the city of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel" (Is. 60:14). The Lord gives to Zion ministers and evangelists who are faithful to God (Is.52: 7; 40: 9). The redeemed of the Lord shall return (Is. 51:11). "Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion, put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the Holy City! For the uncircumcised and the unclean shall no longer come to you. Shake yourself from dust, arise and sit down, O Jerusalem; Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion!" (Is. 52: 1,2). "Then I looked, and behold, a lamb stood on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and fifty four thousand, having His Father's name written on their foreheads" (Rev.14: 1). The mount Zion mentioned in the above verse, is a place in heaven, the Heavenly Zion. We shall write about this later in detail. Therefore the Zion is the true church which is being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets in the last days. That alone is known as Zion and Jerusalem. "At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the Lord, and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem; they shall walk no more after the stubbornness of their evil heart" (Jer. 3:17). This is perfect. "Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth" (Ps. 50:2). "In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place in Zion" (Ps. 76:2). The Lord loves its gates. "The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob" (Ps. 87:2). "Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion" (Ps. 147:12).

Zion is the Church, The New Jerusalem is in the 'Current Heaven' being built up for the all important day when our Lord returns in Glory and makes all things new, when it will come down onto the New Earth as John tells us he saw in Revelation.

Revelation 21:1-27 (NKJV)
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.
17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.
25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).
26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Thanks be to God in Jesus Name. Amen

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

That is correct, there will be no more sea, in The New Jerusalem, The Holy City.

But the New Jerusalem, the Church, comes down onto the New Earth when Christ makes all things new.

Note, no more sea in the New Jerusalem, there is only one river in the New Jerusalem, but the New Jerusalem approx 1500 miles long, 1500 miles wide and 1500 miles high has three gates on each elevation, East, North, South and West, the gates are never locked and lead out onto the New Earth.

When Christ returns in Glory, defeats the devil and makes all things new, He will make/restore a New Heaven/New Earth, then Heaven and Earth will be joined, The New Jerusalem, the Holy City, the Church, Zion, that is in the Current Heaven, will come down from Heaven onto the New Earth.

Revelation 21:1-2 (NKJV)

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The New Jerusalem, the Church, Zion, will cover an area 1500 miles north to south, 1500 miles East to West, and will be 1500 miles high.

Revelation 21:10-11 (NKJV)
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

Revelation 21:12-13 (NKJV)
12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.

Revelation 21:16 (NKJV)
16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.

So far we have considered the area of the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, to be a cube, but is it?
We are told 'The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth.'

But what about its height? we get a separate statement for this which says...
the city: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height
Hence the reason for thinking of a cube, but God talks a lot about 'His Holy Mountain' the length, breadth and height of a pyramid, like a mountain can also be considered here. Scripture leaves us with clear guidance on dimensions but, leaves us in suspense as to whether it refers to a cube or pyramidal mountain type shape. It could also be argued that the sized given, length, breadth and height, are to represent the wholeness and completeness of the Church, the wholeness and completeness of Zion.

Other external features mentioned are the 3 gates on each elevation, all equally apart, with angels guiding them, and that they are never locked.

What an amazing picture we see, that John saw in his Revelation, the Holy City is upon twelve pillars,

Revelation 21:14 (NKJV)
14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Revelation 21:18-21 (NKJV)

As we prepare to look inside we are told...

Revelation 21:22-23 (NKJV)
22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

There was No Temple in it, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple.
The city had no need of sun and moon, God Illuminated it, Jesus the Lamb of God is the Light.

We most note a couple of things here.
1 - The New Jerusalem, the Holy City, Zion, the Church, the Bride of Christ, came down from Heaven, onto the New Earth
2 - The City had no need for light, but the earth outside the city will still have the sun and moon.
Let us move inside the Holy City, the New Jeruslaem.

Revelation 21:24 (NKJV)
24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.

Those who are saved, from all Nations, shall walk in the light, in the Holy City.

Revelation 21:25 (NKJV)
25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).

The 12 gates to the Holy City shall not be shut.

Revelation 21:26 (NKJV)
26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

The Saved from all the Nations shall bring Glory and Honour to the Holy City. Let us sing His Praises.

Revelation 21:27 (NKJV)
27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Nothing that defiles the Church, Zion, The Holy City shall enter, this could be why the angels guide each gate.

Only those whose names are in the Book of Life and the Lamb will be allowed to enter, another reason the angels could be guarding the gates.

To be continued as we enter the New Jerusalem and follow on to consider the New Earth, outside the Holy City.

What is it like in the New Jerusalem, inside Zion, inside the Holy City, inside the true Church, prepared in the Current Heaven and brought down to the New Earth by the Power of God?

Let us enter the Home of every saved believer... the first things John sees and tells us are...

The River of Life
Rev 22:1 (NKJV)

1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

The throne of God and the Lamb, proceeding from the throne is just one river, the water in the river is the water of life, it is pure, crystal clear and is flows from the throne of God and the Lamb. What a beautiful sight this will be, above and in front of this pure, crystal clear river, the glory of God will illuminated it. The Lamb is its light in this Holy City, no need for sun or moon, inside the city Jesus is the light that shines forth, the reflecting light in the pure flowing river will be awesome.

Rev 22:2 (NKJV)
2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

There is a street either side of the river, in the middle of these streets was... 'the Tree of Life'. Once in the Garden of Eden but in the Current Heaven until now, at last we see the Tree of Life in all its beauty. But the tree of life has matured over the period of time until now, it will now bear twelve fruits, a different fruit for every month of the year. Imagine the colourful fruits on these trees, reflecting in the pure river of the water of life, in the Light of Christ and the Glory of God. These trees have matured over the years, fed by the water of life, the tree of life is also in all its Glory. How wonderful it is for God to share these things with us now, giving us a taste of what to expect in the Holy City, the New Jerusalem. Thanks be to God in Jesus Name. Amen.

Rev 22:3a (NKJV)
3 And there shall be no more curse,

Here is further confirmation of the pureness of everything in the Holy City, in Zion, in the Church. The curse has been removed, Jesus made all things new, there shall be no more curse. No sin, no curse, Heaven come down to the New Earth, Paradise has been regained, but is far better than it was in the beginning when Adam and Eve were in there innocence in the presence of God.

Rev 22:3b-4 (NKJV)
but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.

We are reminded here in verse 3b, in case everything is to much to take in, the Throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it.

Every believer, every saved soul, on earth now, on earth for a few thousand years, and on earth until Christ Returns in Glory, have prayed for this day, for these days, we have been seeking His face, and we shall here in the New Heaven on the New Earth see Him, face to face with our Saviour. We will be in awe.

Rev 22:5 (NKJV)
5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

As we read in Rev 21, we are reminded here again, there will be no night here, the sun and moon are not needed in here, the Lord God is the Light, and unending Glorious light, a light we will be able to cope with, far brighter that any light we see on earth, even from the sun, but with our new glorious bodies we will have eyes that can not only look into the brightness but we will also 'See His Face'.

What a wonderful God we have, what a wonderful Saviour we have in Jesus, this is what Jesus has been preparing for us for two thousand years. All this comes down from the Current Heaven onto the New Heaven/New Earth. Jesus left the current Heaven, leaving all this behind, to come to earth, be born of a virgin, Mary by name. He came to correct the Jews beliefs, He came to make salvation available to all, in doing so He gave up all this for us, and died on the cross for us, taking upon himself our sins, the sins of the whole world, He left all this to die for our sins, to shed His blood for our sins, to suffer as we suffer, even worse than we would suffer, mentally, physically, spiritually. Three days later He rose from the dead, conquering death forever and making eternal life available to all who come to Him in penitence and faith, taking up the cross daily that we deserve to be on, and submitting to His commands, commandments and teaching. Allowing Jesus into our hearts and minds and growing in Faith, allowing the Holy Spirit to mould us into the people God wants us to be, allowing the Holy Spirit to prepare us for Heaven with Him.

How grateful we become when we see these things in the true light.

To be continued
keeping the messages smaller and easier to read, absorb, meditate upon, and may we always give Glory to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. In His Holy Name, Amen

Is this during the 1,000 year rule of Christ or after the 1,000 year rule of Christ?

Parts of Revelation aren't always in chronological order, so it's hard to know. But this is the timeline as I understand it.

1. The tribulation - for 3 1/2 years. ( Rev 7-10 )
2. The two witnesses ( Rev 11:1-14; )
3. The "great" tribulation for another 3 1/2 years. ( Last half of Rev 11, Rev 15-16 )
4. The "Beast" will rise in power. ( Rev 13, Rev 17 ) The "mark of the beast" will be implemented. ( some of this is mixed with Daniel 10-12 )
3. The fall of Babylon (Rev 18 ) The term Babylon seems to be symbolic of the non-Christian "world-kingdom".
4. The marriage supper of the Lamb ( Rev 19:6-10; )
5. The Rider on the white horse comes and defeats the beast. ( Rev 19:11-21; ) Who is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
6. The Millennial Reign ( Rev 20:1-6; ) Satan will be temporarily imprisoned during this time.
7. The final rebellion of Satan ( Rev 20:7-10; ) which definitely happens after the Millennial reign.
- - - * Note here * - some believe this also the events of Rev 14:14-20; (Armageddon )
8. The great White throne judgment ( Rev 20:11-15; )
9. The New Heaven and New Earth ( Rev 21:1-8; ) which is apparently after the Millennial reign.
10. The New Jerusalem ( Rev 21:9-Rev 22:5; ) which appears to be after the New Heaven and New Earth are transformed/recreated.
- - - * Note here * - many Bible scholars believe the events of 1 Cor 15:24-28; happen after the New Jerusalem comes down

There will be some time overlap between many of these events. For example the beast will rule during the time of the Tribulation/Great Tribulation.
Also the two witnesses will witness for just about all of the Great Tribulation.

Thanks B-A-C for your post

Thanks Dave M for your question

I totally agree parts of Revelation are not always in chronological order, another issue regarding the Millennium Period that some may not know is it is not listed as much in the English version of the Bible, the term is translated and referred to as 'a thousand years'

Taking the stages noted by our dear brother, B-A-C, would it be better put as follows?

1. The tribulation - for 3 1/2 years. ( Rev 7-10 )

2. The Rapture - the Saved believers whose name is in the Book of Life and the Lamb meet with the Lord in the air and go to the Current Heaven.

3. The "great" tribulation for another 3 1/2 years. ( Last half of Rev 11, Rev 15-16 )
4. The two witnesses ( Rev 11:1-14; )
5. The "Beast" will rise in power. ( Rev 13, Rev 17 ) The "mark of the beast" will be implemented. ( some of this is mixed with Daniel 10-12 )
6. The fall of Babylon (Rev 18 ) The term Babylon seems to be symbolic of the non-Christian "world-kingdom".

7. The Rider on the white horse comes and defeats the beast. ( Rev 19:11-21; ) Who is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

8. The Millennial Reign ( Rev 20:1-6; ) Satan will be temporarily imprisoned during this time.
9. The final rebellion of Satan ( Rev 20:7-10; ) which definitely happens after the Millennial reign.
10. The great White throne judgement ( Rev 20:11-15; )
11. The New Heaven and New Earth ( Rev 21:1-8; ) which is apparently after the Millennial reign. (Is it?)
The New Jerusalem ( Rev 21:9-Rev 22:5; ) comes down from the Current Heaven, onto the New Earth, connecting Heaven and Earth once more.
12. The marriage supper of the Lamb ( Rev 19:6-10; )

But as we continue in our study together this order could very easily change again.

I was trying to avoid discussing the Millennium Period until we saw clearly what the New Heaven/New Earth with the New Jerusalem is like.

I tend to be a little methodical in my way of understanding things, we first studied together

THE CURRENT HEAVEN at THE CURRENT HEAVEN
We are now studying
NEW HEAVEN/NEW EARTH - THE ETERNAL HOME OF EVERY SAVED BELIEVER IN CHRIST JESUS

The reason for studying in stages, I feel, is there are so many over laps in the scriptures, and as we know many people, including preachers, including commentaries tend to talk of Heaven and the New Heaven, our final home.

The same can be said for studying The Millennium Period, there are a lot of grey areas, a lot of ideas. Hopefully as we see together the New Heaven/New Earth, New Jerusalem, and have a clear picture of this, then hopefully understanding the Millennium Period of one thousand years will make more sense. Me thinking.

Once we have completed our thoughts together on the New Heaven/New Earth, and considered the many possibilities we may come across, experience, etc, we will hopefully better place the Millennium period, and when the falling away will take place. There is a lot to cover, we all know bits, me included, some more than others, but through prayer and study together, pooling our ideas what scripture is saying and sharing our heart felt thinking, we will hopefully all see more than we saw at the start.

Psalm 19:14 (NIV2011)
14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Let us pray together, that God will reveal the Truth in His Word, by the Power of His Holy Spirit, about the things we are studying here together..

May these words of OUR mouths and this meditation of OUR hearts be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

1 Corinthians 2:6-16 (NIV2011)
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.
14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,
16 for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

In Jesus Precious Name we pray. Amen.

so you want to study what comes after the millennium, and then after that go back to the millennium, I think I gotcha. I was confused because when people say new earth, I thought that happened during the millennium period as well as after the millennium period a more even newer earth if you will. thanks for bearing with me,
