There are plenty of secular historical documents about Herod Agrippa, Emperor Tiberius, Pontius Pilate, by multiple sources. Philo, Josephus and Tacitus.

Also there are many historical documents about Jerusalem being destroyed in 70 AD.

Have you been to the Holy lands, even today many of the places in the Bible still exist.
Finally what year is it? Do you know why it is this year? Why didn't we just pick a random number?
Yet almost every country in the world recognizes this as the same year... numbered from the year of Christ's crucifixion.

We also have the dead sea scrolls, from the 1st and 2nd centuries.

What is important about those manuscripts is... people try to say the Bible was corrupted over the centuries.
and yet the manuscripts we have from the 1st, 2nd and 4th centuries match the Bible we have exactly.

Finally as Paul said... if the Bible is a hoax.

May I ask, are you asking with reason to share and contribute to yourself, or are you asking for your own use or studies.

Hope you don't mind me asking.

Regarding your question, I guess we may say, the original manuscripts can be trusted, our dear brother B-A-C has given an excellent reply.

But it is known that the RCC has changed numerous scripture verses and is considering changing the Lord's Prayer also.

So we can trust the NT as an historic document, if we are following the original manuscripts, I am sure you are aware, it is wise to look at the original meaning of the Greek words, especially key words, to be sure the translation you are reading is clearly understood.
