It's not simple. Actually allowing sin to me would be the same as consciencously living sinfully. We all live in sin and consciencously need a Savior in Jesus Christ!

Hello there,

The fact that sin has consequences has been the burning thought in my mind this morning. I woke up with it, and it has remained.

I think of King David and the sin he committed by sending Bathsheba's husband Uriah to the front of the battle so that he would lose his life, that he could then take Bathsheba for his own possession. (2 Samuel 12), and we read of the consequence of his actions in verses 9-12, where God said, through His prophet, Nathan :-


Yes, though David himself was forgiven, the consequences remained, and had to be endured throughout the rest of his life, and affected the lives of all within his family.

What a warning this is, isn't it? For example:- if we marry, and make our vows before God, and yet break those vows and remarry, or live in a state of fornication with someone who is not a wife by marriage, thinking it will go unnoticed by God to whom our vows were made. We should not be surprised when we see the consequences of that sin working out in our lives and affecting that of our family.

If we confess our sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, but the consequences remain. For you cannot throw a pebble into a pond without creating a ripple, which will proceed with lessening effect right to the margins of the pond, it is a natural consequence of our action.

God is not mocked.

There will be some sort of
" consequences" for our sin, judgment day is coming for all and soon, only God knows for sure what is instore for each person.

Conséquences, to what ever degree, are probably in all of our futures for all have sinned and fall short of His glory!

But ,as Jesus stated: "all manner of blasphemy and sin will be tolerated, but blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will not!

The greatest consequence of sin, is dying in unbelief !!!

Today there are so many sins accepted as part of life that are not regarded as sin but were recognised as sin yesterday.
There have always been the same sins but they are waxing. I know I keep using that word.
There are sexual sins, sins of greed, materialism the list is endless but most of all the falling away from God.
There are so many loving pleasure over God and I just observed people choosing the most comfy home , in Escape to the country. Where are the thoughts for God and thanks to Him ?
How can children in a godless world know right from wrong, if they don't have the Word of God as a plumbline. That's why they need our prayers, help and the gospel.
For tommorow they will be the world's adults.

Yet, the consequences of sin for David was experienced in his lifetime, by himself, and the members of his family, yes?

As for the day of judgment, although believers will be judged regarding 'service', ie., their walk and witness: in relation to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, which they can lose. They will not lose the gift of life, for the gifts and calling of God are 'without repentance.'

Yes, we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, yet the believer will not come into condemnation, for there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

I hear your concerns and empathise with them.

The Lord Jesus Christ has disempowered sin for all who place their trust in Him, for He has paid the penalty for our sin, by taking it upon Himself and dying in our place, yes? That is the core of our belief. We are now to reckon ourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Christ Jesus our risen Lord. For sin no longer has dominion over us. Our bodies must die, but we will sleep in Christ until that day of God's choosing, when we will awake and enter into that precious gift of God of resurrection life, which is ours in Christ Jesus. It cannot be taken from us.

Yes, I understand your concern for children in a largely godless society. Ideally it should be taught by example and by hearing the word of God within a Christian home. Or through a ministry to children within our communities, in places of worship. My children heard the word of God through the ministry of an organisation which ran Bible Clubs throughout Britain, which was non-denominational and evangelical.

I heard the word of God to the saving of my soul through the ministry of the 'Youth for Christ' movement, an American based organisation which was conducted throughout Britain during that day. However, today, as then, people are not taught how to read the word of God for themselves, and how to rightly divide it, in order to know what the will of God is within this present dispensation of grace.

It does need prayer and personal involvement by believers throughout the world. Do you know of organisations which are worthy of support, who have a ministry to children and young people? I know there are ministries to young and old working within the world, I am just not acquainted with them.

Can't speak for David, he was from the Old Covevant.
We are under the New Testament , were Jesus , though very supportive of the Old Testament , in it's tenants, changed everything!...God is no longer at war with Man.

As far as I see it...sin is sin and is anything à perfect God is not!

Yes true. Sin is sin.
Maybe at the moment I'm not communicating as I usually can .
This is meant in a different context for the want of the right expression.

The bible mentions a time of falling away and uses the word increasing.
Wickedness multiplying. Evil men and imposters growing worse

Although sin is sin. There are ways that even biblically are expressed as worsening as said.

That occurs when the Word of God is rejected.

My point, which many don't see, is that God is absolute perfection and Holy.

We can't ever come into His presence in our current condition, so He devised à perfect plan,
where He would get inside us, which He Himself paid the price!

I see why when you get in The Zone, you make my heart go pitter-patter
And I was going to say something about that KJV word where endurance was replaced by the word “Patience”. But the patience where it was replace do not have the strength in which I need, but to you it had enough strength maybe. But for me I needed or need the word “Endure or Endurance” for it seems to be able to give The “Vigor” to press or go on as a “endurance Race” that may last for “Decades” with no reliefs. Until my Time of Change comes, when this “mortal shall but of Immortality”. You reinforced my claim when you spoke and reminded us about King David and endurance He Had to endure. “The Consequences of Sin”
