First of all, voting only helps christians if they stay informed and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, and then ACT on it, saying politics and voting are of this world and that christians should stay out of it, hurts christians chance of having a better governance. But arguing over fruitless things, and living by the letter of the law versus by the leading of the Holy Spirit makes the church so very weak.
