What came to me was memory of the Helter Skelter phenomenon, AKA Charles Manson. It's like a virus spreading around. I lack fervor praying about such sinners as Jesus didn't. Isn't it enough that we pray for the brethren of Christ living today? Sinners will be sinners without hope, drawn to each other in perverse ways until some of us speak to that mountain of theirs in their ears.

I am a Christ follower. I also suffer from depression. I also use hemp oil or weed as medicine. There are many strains of weed that do not get you high but relieve pain\symptoms. Some days using it is the only way I get relief from suicidal thoughts. Obviously I can't type my whole story into one text box here, but I wanted to speak up in defence of those who God has blessed with relief on their walk with God through depression by having provided a plant with this healing ability. Pharmacy chemicals don't work for some of us. God made weed like any other plant (aspirin is derived from plant bark), and if one uses wisdom and the appropriate strains\forms of hemp\weed then it shouldn't be labeled as a sin, particularly by those who have never studied it for its benefits but only tout the stereotype of Scooby doo pot heads.....

I believe the main issue is "recreational" use of pot. As a former federal park ranger I have witnessed a wide array of effects of many substances, including inhalation of canned whipped cream, in a case of a driver doing that running over some Girl Scouts picking up trash along a highway. I haven't heard of any public displays of objectionable medicinal pot use by a patient using a prescription, but have read of onset disabilities of children using them, already some children bringing parent's pot gummies to share with classmates. It's a little similar to hazards of bringing tasty OTC cough medicine or peanuts someone is allergic to.
