SignUp Now!Well, I have been teaching to many years to not recognize someone who simply wishes to argue. I have no time for that kind of foolishness. I doubt he even bothered to read the post in its entirety. He claims that God walks by faith yet, there is nothing in scripture that suggests such a thing. It is true that God is faithful in all his doings, but faith is rooted in that which is not seen, in that which we cannot known empirically.. There is nothing beyond God's range of knowledge. There was divine purpose behind the presence of the two trees in the garden and that purpose was rooted in the wisdom of God.Old Hermit, don't be surprised that he thinks you are deceived...Those in deception think everybody that does not think as they do are deceived.
I definitely agree with you on this. God always knows what He's doing.Well, I have been teaching to many years to not recognize someone who simply wishes to argue. I have no intention of wasting any more time with you. Please do not annoy me further.@oldhermit ,
I read you post [HASH=1418]#9,[/HASH] no need to lie. If you’ve been teaching for many years, it should be easy for you to pick apart my scriptural understanding and teach me where I’m wrong. I asked you to show me what I said wrong and tell me why factually; not with carnal reasoning. This is what I’ve found happens often. Maybe you can be different.
You said God knew… Give me scriptural reference and explain yourself so I can see your point. I can’t understand your reasoning if you only post scripture that is vague and doesn’t explain your postition.
I’ve put myself out there writing and revealing my reasoning for anyone to correct me. But I need scriptural explanations. I’m not asking for much.
Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, “WHO” quickens the dead, and (WHO) “calls those things which be not as though they were.” (this is faith)
God has said all believers are Righteous. Is this truth in manifestation? NO! God has called all believers Saints… Is this true in manifestation? NO! God has declared all believers as “innocent;” is this true in manifestation? NO! Those that are truly Christ’s will be confirmed at the end. Those that are Christ’s will put on Righteousness and fulfill God’s words. Those that don’t will be gathered out of the body of Christ and condemned (Mat. 13:41).
God does not know if Bendito will make it and be obedient until the end. However, God sees Bendito through “faith” and encourages Bendito to endure until the end. Bendito’s walk and the will of his heart will determine if Bendito will make it. God knows Bendito’s heart and his conditioning.
God’s character is faith.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
You see? This is a lie...God does not know if Bendito will make it and be obedient until the end. However, God sees Bendito through “faith” and encourages Bendito to endure until the end. Bendito’s walk and the will of his heart will determine if Bendito will make it. God knows Bendito’s heart and his conditioning.@oldhermit ,

God said He knows the end all the way from the very beginning. Who should we believe? You or God?
God's character is LOVE. He uses faith but He is LOVE. You've built your own god.

Talking with you is like jumping into a cactus bush. Sounds like a good idea at first but it feels so good when you stop. I'm stopping. again@Bendito,
See Bendito, If you think I’ve said something wrong you “immediately” jump on it to prove me wrong. You give me scriptural references; but the problem is you will not explain the scripture and make yourself venerable for attack as you do to others.
Bendito, you say God uses faith… confirming what I said, but you tell me I’m wrong for saying God walks by faith. I’ve been very consistent from the first day I started on this site. There are two exceptions which were the “bibleguy” and “Sue” when I misinterpreted scripture and they pointed it out to me (in love) and they were correct. They used the Greek tools “correctly” and showed me my errors. At that point I turned from my incorrect use of those scriptures because they taught me and I learned.
This is the scripture you quoted incorrectly:
Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I "will do" all my pleasure:
Isa 46:11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, "I will also bring it to pass;" I have purposed it, "I will also do it."
The reason God knows in this context is because God “declares,” (announces), the end from the beginning. He “speaks His word” into existence to bring to pass His will according to His purpose. The reason God’s counsel will stand is because He will make it stand. This is not saying God knows all future events in knowledge before it happens. God works all things after the counsel of His own will (Eph. 1:11). Knowledge is revealed information in existence that is understood. God brings into existence knowledge and He fulfills it according to His will. If God has not thought it, it does not exist. If a man thinks something God knows because it has been brought into existence.
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: “hath he said,” and “shall he not do it?” or “hath he spoken,” and “shall he not make it good?”
Bendito, you are consistently speaking “nonsense” toward me and “backbiting” speaking to others members about me without reason. You say, I think I know and always think I’m right; among other things. I don’t talk crazy to you and purposefully try to make you look foolish. Is it sad, of course? I will tell you – even in this post you call me a liar; as if I’m seriously seeking to lie. I’m speaking from what I see in scripture as I see God’s character. I continually ask you to show me where I’m wrong and you won’t. You prefer to talk crazy about me instead presenting scripture to prove your point.
I don't have to prove something that is self evident. You are wrong in most of what you say. You prove it every time you post.@Bendito,
If you would discuss scripture instead of trying so hard to prove me wrong it, can be a good learning experience. You jumped on that last post because you thought I said something wrong. If you would ask more questions and don't let what you feel get the best of you, but use it as an exercise and we both can win. I told you I practice character. We don't have to agree, but we can disagree with righteousness knowing that you have not arrived and I have not arrived but we're striving. Let God be true and let Him say who the liar is in the time of judgment..

There are certainly some things God says will be or come to pass. Certainly every prophecy from God would qualify.
However a great many things thought and said by people... aren't necessarily things God has purposed or promised.
There are even things God "wants" that won't happen.
A couple of good examples would be...
2 Pet 3:9; The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
Even though God doesn't "wish" for any to perish, doesn't mean that none will.
1 Tim 2:3; This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
1 Tim 2:4; who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Even though God "desires" for all men to be saved, He doesn't force them to be saved. In fact, the majority of men won't be.
