The Cross and the Resurrection are inseparable, they go hand in hand....you can't have or believe in the one with out the other! The action of Jesus on the cross was for the remissions of sins, before, now and future. He only died once and then, Like no other Priest before him, he sat down, signifying his work was complete. All the work of sin forgiveness,required by God was done at the cross.
But, Jesus did not stop there, because he has risen, he gives birth to internal life to anyone who believes.
Until you rest in the finality of the cross, you will never experience the resurrection.
