The Church !!

The difference now is that people dont have to physically go to Jerusalem to worship God. We can gather anywhere and Jesus tells us to spread the news everywhere. But there are instructions given to the church on how to go about this...see corinthians and letter to timothy. Lots of advice about order and organisation of church. Even saying women should keep silent ..cos you know how some of us love to talk!

It was not all home groups because Jesus actually taught in the temple itself and in synagogues. Then when he left and commisioned Paul to be apostle, Paul did go to these synagogues first as his base network then established churches who reached out to gentiles. He evangelised everywhere in forums, marketplaces even in prison not just peoples homes. I think some people are fixated that church has to be in your own home. Well for most people it isnt because they dont even have a home.

The church needs elders to teach the youngsters. And the deacons to serve and look after widows and orphans while the evngeliats go off to evangelise. If you read the bible there are more than just three people in the church!!!
You said "And the deacons to serve and look after widows and orphans" Hmmmm That would make you a deacon. The Father and the Son are elders. They teach. and the Holy Spirit is the evangelist because nobody can be saved without the Holy Spirit draws them.

Letter to timothy says if you desire the office of a bishop you need to rule your own house well before you look after the church. Which suggests that church is bigger than just your own home.

Why does a church need deacons, and elders? The church is made up of every single Christian on the planet...What you're talking about is organized groups and organized denominations. None of which even existed in the bible times.. It was all home groups. Unless you can show me otherwise?

Titus 1:5, 1 Peter 5:1-3, James 5:14

When it comes to elders, that was a position in the early church; in leadership if I am not mistaken. They were ordained men who had to live up to certain qualifications.

1 Timothy 3:8-13

Same with deacons, many believe that the deacon office was established in
Acts 6 with the need for people to serve the less fortunate members of the church, so that the apotles could continue to preach.

Ephesians 4:11-13

Jesus gave us apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, to edify the body.

The Holy Spirit is to work through these people (elders, deacons, and evangelists) who are ordained by men who should be led by the Spirit to choose these leaders.
