So it is today
Mar 14:15And he will shew you a large upper room furnishedandprepared: there make ready for us.
Mar 14:16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
Mar 14:17 And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
The gang was all there in the Lord’s presence for the Passover feast. There were the twelve who walked with Him for the last 3 + years. They ate with Him, drank with Him, and talked with Him; they saw the miracles and, so much more.
One was a loud mouth....
One was a doubter.
One was to put a dagger in His heart of Love by betraying Him.
One however lay across His chest and listened to His heartbeat.
Even after they saw Him raised from the dead; even after one placed his hands into the hole in Jesus side some still doubted (Mat 28:17). Yet the one who pressed in so close new Jesus as God, He knew Jesus as Creator and Lord.
If you Love Him you will know His heartbeat. If you love Him you will draw near. If you love Him your lamp will always be filled with oil.
Is this you? Will you cast every hindrance and thought of unworthiness aside and draw near enough to lay your head on His chest; to feel His breath upon your face?
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Do not be caught doing all the churchy things in your own strength and will -Remember those He rejected from in the church were meet with “I don’t know you”- do not let that be you. Do not be found standing in front of Him spouting “Lord didn’t I’s”. Be led of the Spirit; empowered by the Spirit; speak and do the Father's Words and will. The Father will rejoice in this and the world will see Jesus in you.
Here is Jesus prayer, His will for us:
Joh_17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
