So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth
Matthew 13:49-50

A little word I read today

Afflicted saint, when you are fretful and desponding--
Think what a lost soul, who had been in Hell but an hour, would give for a drop of that grace which you have in your heart!
Think seriously of this, and be thankful!*

*Thomas Brooks (1608–1680) - English non-conformist Puritan preacher and author.

O Lord help us to be more compassionate for the lost and so very thankful for our salvation

The Lord is good: His mercy is everlasting
Psalm 100:5

Greetings,

Afflicted saint, when you are fretful and desponding--
Think what a lost soul, who had been in Hell but an hour, would give for a drop of that grace which you have in your heart!
Think seriously of this, and be thankful!*

If we ever realize that we are not seriously thankful we must urgently ask, "why?".

By this I mean each of us must ask ourselves, not be demanding of others to ask or give reason why they are not more thankful but, again, to discover of our selves that we have not been seriously thankful demands urgent and serious attention.

O LORD, to be reminded daily of Your grace !

Bless you ....><>
