To love your enemies and others doesnt mean to trust them,to love doesnt mean to like them, to love doesnt mean to be mixed with them, to love doesnot mean to sleep with them,to love doesnt mean to do seks, to love doesnt mean to marry, to love doesnt mean to not protect yourself, to love doesnt mean to keep your family hungry for helping others, to love them doesnt mean to cast bread before dogs, to love doesnt mean to leave your brothers alone for to be with others, to love enemies doesnt mean to do frienship with them...To love enemies mean only to love them and help them when they are in need and nothing more...in the Jesus name...Amen

On the other hand, WHAT LOVE IS

1Cor. 13:4-8a (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. ...

The bible says "It is better to trust God than have confidence in man........It is better to trust God than have confidence in Princes"

So what is the bible saying?

So what is the bible saying?

-
God is the 1 & only one worthy of or confidence.
He always wants the very best for each of us.

Our confidence should be rock solid on the Rock of our salvation,
the Corner Stone.

to trust means:

-
According to the Strong's number, "to trust" means:
to stand firm, to be certain, to believe in.
-

love trusts

however that trust should be godly trust which means that in all cases we love and trust knowing that GOD is in control and has our best purposes in mind so that we need not fear or distrust any.

I believe that what the scripture is saying to us here is.......

'Trust no man'

"the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked"

To Love, such a task!

It is interesting, I remember Jesus saying, "Love your neighbor as yourself." How can we love our neighbor as ourself? Sometimes, some of us do not love even ourselves.......we are merely parrots of what we know is the politically correct thing to say as Children of God.

How many of you ever sought and pursued godliness.........to become more like Christ, to the point of resisting the sin of anger, impatience with others, prejudice, lust, etc. Those sins of the hearts........those that will only be disclosed when Christ brings them to the light?

I usually wake up early in the morning with the purest of intentions, and then I actually get out of bed!

I can say I love my Christian brothers and sisters in Christ....I can say I love unbelievers, but what on earth do I do to put my faith into practice?

It is an elusive thought to me right now. I wish Jesus would come now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

superficialities drive me nuts. Ah, just babbling, and then again, not.
I will come back when I pray and then examine my thought pattern.

I know God is changing me to be more like Christ.....that much is evident in the dramatic turnaround my life has already taken....yet my sinful soul still wages war against that which I know is right and holy and good. Who will rescue me......? Thanks be to Jesus Christ, our Lord" AMEN.

Are there people in this world who dont know about Jesus or about the Gospel and dont listen about it in their life??? I think may be very very few...Yes that many dont accept the Gospel....But It is another thing. What about the Love we heard about it very much....I think christians need to know what love is not....They make mess nowdays of about what is love... And Antichristians use the idea about love to attack and fool christians. God is Love but Love is not God at all....In the Jesus name...Amen And God is Power, And God Is Just, And God is Truth, And God is hateful to the Sin, And so on.. Be well in the Jesus name...Amen

I Timothy 1:5a

Genuine Christians, are motivated by sincere faith & a desire to do what is right. Love for others is something we owe. We are permenantly indebt to CHRIST for the lavish love HE has poured out on us. The only way we can even begin to repay this dept is by loving others in turn. JESUS said that if we truly love GOD than we will keep the Commandments. When we are not motivated by love, we become critical of others. We stop looking for good in them & see only their faults.

Uncle Steve, You are absolutely right! BUT, tell me did you answer with the politically correct thing to say as a Christian.....out of mere intellect, or do you actually know what it is like to put that into practice.......we so need to review what perfect love is..........

Christianity as a whole has become lukewarm....it has lost its teeth, its trusting, resting power and it is second place to our earthly lives..........

For example, I once heard someone say, "Witnessing is my first job, carpentry is my side job" He was a carpenter by trade. Do we really see ourselves as Christians first and second as mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, brothers, sisters, etc?

I don't know if we have become complacent, perhaps those believers in Iraq, and other third world countries......were persecution exists........are the true and honest believers?

just another thought.

The first call is to our Savior, after that wives/husbands, children, family. Then neigbours.

As you quote "love your neighbour"

But I make a difference between love and trust. I endeavour to love all with whom I make contact....in Jesus.

But to trust.........As I have said......

'Love your neighbour as yourself" this is Jesus speaking....and we do as is our best. We do love...in Jesus It is our desire to bless...to minister....to bring to salvation

Trust is quite another matter.........My thoughts...

Singlemom,

I think it might be of value to add the following to your citation from Romans 7 at the end of your post: "So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death." (Ro 7:25b-8:2)

..............to love doesnt mean to like................

distrust breeds fear, maybe even hatred, No?

How can you love something you fear, hate?

You do not trust because? do you fear the unknown?

I always believed that which I heard from those brothers and sisters when I first came to Christ, "look to Jesus, others will dissapoint you, I will dissapoint you, But He never will."

I know they are right.......The Bible itself says that, "Jesus did not entrust Himself to man, for He knew what was in man."

How can we love others, if they have to prove that they are trust worthy?

I am playing devil's advocate....forgive the pun.

Pure Love is?????

Me..I cant...read 1 John 2:19-21 and 1 John 2:27 and John 16:13
John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.....
1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. [6]
1 John 2:21 I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth.......
1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him......
Jeremiah 33:3 `Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'.....

John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.".......Amen

Re: To Love doesn't mean to trust

We are to love others despite their faults, just as God loves us despite ours.

"Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Ro 5:7-8)

Just as God's love is unconditional, ours must be unconditional. That doesn't mean we have to drop our guard and open ourselves up to being hurt again. As a pastor friend of mine says, "Sometimes you have to love them from a distance."

Hee, Hee, Hee.........the entire post sounded parroty!!!!!! But I love the line at the end!

From a distance, huh?

BUT, I am a big trouble maker and I have to question everything......like EA games, hee, hee, hee.

Well, you know the biggest turnoff for me......when I first came to know Christ, was how standoffish Christians were! I hated that all I saw was "Sunday" Christians......I would never hear from them the entire rest of the week.......I almost felt like quitting......

Especially when I found out that J. Vernon McGee, a wonderful preacher stated the following, "Trials are proof positive of our faith!" I almost hated seeing these Christians because they seemed phony to me......I thought you had to live out your faith Monday through Sunday, 24/7, eeekkkk, what a revolutionary thought, huh?

I have grown a little since then and I know that I have to follow the Lord, no matter what! Just as Jesus told Peter, "What is that to you, you follow me."

I wish the church were more like the Acts church..........hhhhhhmmmmmmm, what a delicious thought to be in constant communication with believers, mmmmmmmm, so rich!

God bless, I actually have more, but I will shut my mouth now, thank you!

In Christ' Name,
Singlemom
