So, I saw the Bible Discussions board, went to the Bible Answers section, and clicked on the OP on "Calvinism."
Whoever posted it didn't do justice for truth. Matt Slick and his web site is all calvinist, so the truth about calvinism is not stated there. Calvinism is another false religion every bit as much as JW's and Mormons. They use Scripture like the JW and Mormons do.
Unfortunately, because the blind follow the blind, calvinistic doctrine has been accepted by the church as a "variant" of Christianity, even though calvinism directly contradicts Scripture on practically every count. The ONLY thing calvin had right, is that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh; after that, the entire religious sect is sprinkled and riddled with out of context claims that when fully examined, is NOT supported by Scripture.
I hope this helps some who are confused about whether or not calvinism is a legitimate "variant" of Scripture - because there are no variants of truth. There is the truth of God, and then there are false ideologies, and calvinism is nothing false ideologies of a man who was never saved and who didn't even believe all of Scripture. If he wasn't saved, then he did not have the Spirit guiding his teachings - and when compared with Scripture, he most certainly was not guided by the Spirit of God.
