who was on earth that would find Cain and kill him?

There were already many more on earth by the time of Cain's demise. First off Cain and Abel were already adults with their own vocations (one a shepherd and the other a farmer) and though not mentioned because it was not the point, they may have even had many children of their own, Secondly just because the Bible reports Cain and Abel were A & E's first children does not mean they were their ONLY children (they were being fruitful and multiplying) their other children most likely (naturally) had other children as well. Then thirdly there is a Rabbinical issue, little discussed, that arises from the ancient Hebrew. Cain when cast away is sent to the land of Nod. The ancient word "Nod" literally means wanderers (people who wandered here and there..perhaps migratory or even hunter gatherers). Who they were or where they came from specifically is not mentioned (because it was irrelevant to God's purpose in giving us the teaching) but they were already there when Cain is forced to join them.

Seth lived to be 912 (Gen 5:8; ). So consider a couple of possibilities, maybe God created other people outside the garden AFTER Adam and Eve. (We know Cain married - Gen 4:17; )
..or.. even if these were other offspring of Adam and Eve, hundreds of years could have gone by before Cain died, you could make quite the population in that time.
There could have been dozens of people alive (hundreds?) during Cain's lifetime.

I do not believe that there could have been other people made outside of Adam and his descendants because then it would be unjustified for them to be born spiritually dead having not inherited that from Adam and his sin.
In short cain had to have married a sister, or a niece, maybe a great niece. Sounds gross but we have to remember that this was a very long time ago and things were very different.
Also Lamech might have said that about being avenged 70 fold but we don't see God agreeing with it. It could just be wishful thinking of a scared man.

Genesis 2 is different from Genesis 1 - first the language is very different for Adam (and Eve) are made (formed) not created; along with the sequence of events with emphasis on beasts of the field and livestock.
Note that in the story of the fall, Genesis 3, Lucifer already exists as a liar and a deceiver and deliberately tempts Eve and Adam - what is happening in the spirit world??
There is a whole lot more going on here than merely two people supposedly being the parents of all subsequent living humans (which raises problems with the diverse races of human beings >> Darwinism?)
Both Isiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 refer to Lucifer being in Eden.

Adam and Eve HAD TO both be of a lighter shade of brown (lighter than the darker skinned and darker than the lighter skinned)...we see this in India and some other places....the parents can produce children that have lighter shades of skin and darker shades of skin....then "in the Beginning", over time, when some of the darker skinned people mated with other darker skinned people the likelihood of dark skin tone was reinforced...likewise with the lighter skinned people if generationally reinforced produced more lighter people....

We only know for certain that Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel were present when Cain rose up and killed Abel. If none but Adam, Eve, and Cain were left after Abel is killed, then Cain obviously had a fear that either Adam or Eve or another child of Adam and Eve would slay him. Cain's wife is not mentioned until after Cain is marked by God, so it's likely she was born after Cain slew Abel. Keep in mind that the first several generations lived hundreds of years. Too many assumptions are being made about other's inhabiting the earth besides Adam, Eve, and Cain after Abel is killed and when Cain is marked by God; the word of God is silent.
