Thank you for the interest; it's an interesting thought, and I hope it gets some interesting responses.

This Life is a relationship, as in Our Father, who is in heaven; it is, sometimes, Jacob fighting with El; it is a seed, growing as it should, producing fruit, as in the parable of the sower.

Our Father is an awesome title; it means He won't give up on us, and we always have His ear. That is most precious to me. It means He doesn't quit just because we fight back, like Jacob did. There is a lot in that story, that it's ok to fight back; He can handle it. He can make our worst moments a blessing, because we fight with Him, and no one else. And even the dislocated hip ( or whatever pain the fight leaves you with) is a reminder that you really did wrestle with Him.
The seed is based on The Creator; like a seed, our beings already are equipped to produce the fruit He means for us to produce. If we work on plowing the weeds, getting rid of rocks, and softening the hard places, the seed will produce eventually.

That's enough for now. I look forward to reading other's responses!

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Having an intimate one on one, face to face relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is having eternal life.

A more abundant kind of Life is provided:

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Thank You all for the replies and I am going to give it another day or so then post the POINT I want to get across to every one.

Here are just a few of the scriptures that show how each and every believer should be living. Now ask your self this......when we walk in defeat and lack and poverty sickness and oppression and depression and every other thing not in line with the written word of God - What kind of impression do we give unto our Lord who went to the cross for each and every one of us ? Kind of like saying....yea well you know it just was not enough for me because you have no idea what my life is like. What a slap in the face.

Well since it is our Heavenly Father and our God and Creator that we must repent unto and get right before Him- Jesus shows us this.

John 14:6
6... Jesus said unto them, I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me !! ( The One and Only Way )

2 Corinthians 5:21 kjv
For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin : that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him ( Jesus )

Now that we know and understand what is needed, we must follow through unto the next step in order to qualify for this New Life In Christ.

Well we all know how to get this all started working for ourselves or another words how to qualify or have these things operating on our behalf in our lives. It all begins with

John 3:16 and Romans 10:13
Asking Christ Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior.

1 Peter 2:25 kjv
For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Then life begins.

Hebrews 4:14-16 kjv
14... Seeing then that we have a High Priest , that is passed into the Heavens, Jesus the Son of God, Let us hold fast our profession.
(( Profession also means Confession ))

15... For we have not a High priest which can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16... Let us therefore come boldly unto the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain Mercy, and find Grace to help in the time of need.

Ok here we have just been shown that not only can we BUT we NEED TO BE going to God Boldly, which means as His Covenant Family who knows who they are in Christ Jesus. Bringing His word with us......Another words simply walk right on in.

John 10:10 kjv... The thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill and destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Galatians 1: 4-5 kjv... Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the Will of God and our Father;
5...To whom be the Glory for ever and ever. A-men
(( If you ever get the chance read this verse 4 in the amplified bible. ))

John 14:27 kjv...Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give i unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 16:33 kjv... These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me you might have peace, In the world you will have tribulation; BUT Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Ok this is so cool !! Already we have seen that Jesus has Become our Shepherd and things have changed for us.

1. Made the only door to the Father for us
2. He made the way ( via the cross ) for us to be saved or made right
3. The righteousness of God in or through Christ Jesus.
4. He (Jesus) "Set It Up" so we can now go boldly at any time to the throne of Grace. 24/7/365 Never closed for holidays.....Always open unto His own.
5. So we could have a much more abundant life here on this earth.
6. Given us His peace and delivered us from this evil world - which means we can live in this world but do NOT have to be of this world or as this world.
Because He has already overcome this world for us.

Now this all sounds pretty awesome already in itself BUT there is much more Jesus has ALREADY DONE FOR US......It's ours for the taking.

Galatians
3:13 kjv....Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one who hangeth on a tree;

3:14 kjv... That the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through Faith.

3:29 kjv... And if ye be Christ's then are you Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

I am not going to go into all the promises that God gave Abraham that ARE OUR PROMISES now as well. Look them up and if you see things in these promises that are not in your life - well why not ? They are yours and just like anything else - they just wont simply come to pass just because you are Born Again. Nope----

When we became born again we truly did inherit a lot of promises and benefits in God through Christ Jesus but we must learn how to take them and learn how to apply them into our daily lives. They will work for you and for me just like God intended on them to work BUT we have go to always go back to the base ( the written word of God ) and find out the kingdom principles or operating within the kingdom of God.

Now then I want to show you something else. Not only do we have the following.........But

1Peter 2:24-25 kjv
24... Who His own self bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto Righteousness; by whose stripes YE WERE HEALED.

Isaiah 53:5 nlt... But He was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed !

As written in Galatians 3:13 ( above ) we see that Christ Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law.........
CHECK OUT EVERYTHING THAT IS APART OF THE CURSE (Deut. 28)

Let me ask you this ?
Is sickness and disease a cures or a Blessing ?
Is poverty a curse or a Blessing ?
Is walking protected like in Psalm 91 a cures or a Blessing (promise) ?

Getting the idea here ?
In John 10:10 we read Christ came that we might have life more abundantly..... Abundant in being sick or abundant in being healthy ?
Abundant in being broke or abundant in your giving and helping ?
Abundant in Bondage or abundant in Free from yokes ?
Your Choice......You Choose......REMEMBER......

God said He is a REWARDER of those who DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM.
God not only tells us but shows us many times that WE REAP WHAT WE SOW. Another words we reap from within what we sow.

So dig into His written word BY Faith for the Just shall live by faith. Plant His word in your hearts and keep it watered all the time walking by and in and through faith and it will grow roots and then grow up and produce fruit.
ANOTHER WORDS Sow His written word WITH FAITH into your hearts and lives and REAP FROM WITHIN HIS BENEFITS.....

Ok one last direction I wanted to go in.
Now read the following and honestly ask your self....am I seeing these things in my life and if so are they being seen abundantly in my life ?

John 14:12-14
12... Verily verily I say unto you, He that Believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works then these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13... And what soever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14... If ye shall ask anything in My name , I will do it.

John 16: 23-24 also speaks of what ever we ask of Him we shall receive it that our joy may be complete .

Now take a moment and reflect on all the things that you know of the Jesus did through out His time on this earth and even simply the days of His ministry.

So I ask you why is not the body of Christ operating like this 24/7/365 ?
We should be .....oh and it is here now........that we the body of Christ will be living like the days of acts and more. It's up to each and every one of us to live like this or not. It's our choice........It has been done for us already.....We must make the choice to choose to do what it takes and live the life Jesus Purchased for each and every one of us.

I want to leave you with this question..........Ask Your Self what does this passage really mean for me..........1 John 4:17 .....Once you get a true Revelation of this........You Will Not Ever Be The Same........
It's the last half that I am speaking of..
(( Because as He Is - So Are We - In This World ))

I challenge every single person who reads this to take 30 days and seek God for His Spiritual Truth with these words....I mean Honestly and Diligently seek God and not your buddy or with head knowledge or human understanding.

Blessings and Love in Christ

It is an eternal life; Jesus bridged the gap between us and God; He is our intermediator, and one must enter in through Him to go to the Father.
Praise God for my Jesus.

He purchased a life of true freedom:
Romans 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Means I won't die and go to hell but have life everlasting.

Jesus Christ fulfilled all the Law I could never hope to perfectly obey; suffered the wrath of God against my sins; died my deserved death to remove the legal death sentence imposed upon my soul, granting me full pardon (Justification/Forgiveness) so that His righteousness might legally be imputed to my record with God, and then resurrected from all this bodily, as my actual Surety, that I too would be raised to everlasting life. Genesis 43:9; Hebrews 7:22

He purchased us. We have our salvation. Salvation is reconciliation with God.

1 Cor 6:20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

As for our lives down here. We are to live ever mindful of His will. We don't ask 'what can God do for me'. We ask 'what can I do for God'.

Phil 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Matt 10:39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

Whilst scripture is indeed full of promises. We do need to be careful that we don't become our own god or return to an OT type relationship with Him. I do X, you must do / I claim Y.

Hi Jim, do you believe this verse is referring to physical healing?

I believe that verse is referring to physical healing, as well as spiritual healing. Three times now I have received physical healing. When this happens, wow, the things it does for your spiritual.

1. Can be either. Job went through hell and came out blessed.
2. Depends on how we define poverty. The disciples and early Christians sold all they had. They clearly did not see material possessions as evidence of wealth.
3. Neither?
4. You can't give and help if you broke? Mother Theresa?
5. What bondage? What yoke?

Have you read the context of that verse? Physical healing is probably the last thing on the writers mind.

Probably??? If you dont want to receive my testimony that is fine with me; three times I have received physical healing and oh, how it contributed to the spiritual awarenesses and healings as well.

I am not suggesting you were not healed or that God does not heal. God can do anything. He is God.

Can you accept that faith for healing / healing is trivial / faith smaller then a mustard seed?

The only verses we need for healing is Matt 6:26 and John 9:31. To suggest bodily healing warrants being mentioned along side the other matters in those verses and the context of the chapter is ridiculous.

It is like me proposing to my wife...''Honey I love you so much, I have just paid your debt to the bank so you don't need to go to prison, you can be with me...will you marry me? ...hold that thought my toast popped''.

How about just do the alms deed of paying the debt and not boast about it; hum, it just seems to be gone. When the flesh does things it wants recognized for what it has done.

The Word of God describes the Christian life as one of persecution, of continual suffering for Christ.

We are complete in Christ and our lives should reflect the completeness and satisfaction we have in Him whatever our condition

For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:11-12

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:6-10
