    Question about beer (seriously)

OK, I know most of you will think this is ridiculous, but I have a question about non-alcoholic beer. As most of you know, I am on dialysis. I learned the other day that people on dialysis can crave strange things. My dietician even told me some people eat wood or even toilet paper(CLEAN, of course)! But anyway, my cravings aren't that strange, but I do have a question about it. One craving is ice. The other is beer. I haven't drank anything with alcohol in a really long time. But there are days I just want a beer like there is no tomorrow. Well, I bought a six pack of bottled O'Doul's Amber. If any of you don't know, O'Doul's is non-alcoholic. Well, technically that's not true, it has 0.5 percent alcohol. OK, Here is my question, even though it only has 0.5 percent alcohol, am I committing a sin?

If salvation were to do with what we eat or what we drink, all would be saved. Salvation is all about Jesus. Having accepted Jesus, and knowing Him as Lord of your life, that is the important thing. Salvation is of the Lord! so says the scripture.

Keep loving Jesus, praying, rejoicing in God, appreciating His love. These are the paramount things.

    God Bless You

    Matthew 21:22
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Sister, ask GOD to convict your heart whether this is right or wrong. The Holy Spirit will tell you if this is good for you or not. Lean on His understanding and not your own.

    God bless

There are a lot of people in the Bible that drank alcohol (Timothy is advised by Paul to do so, Jesus and the others probably drank wine at the weeding in Cana, even the Holly Supper...) So i don't think it's a sin - i too, although rarely, drink wine or beer. But if your conscience is saying NO, then you should listen to it. If you don't feel right about drinking, then don't do it. If, on the other way, you feel OK about drinking alcohol, do it, but be careful not to be a stumbling block for others...

    diamonds, you're a sweet lady

morethandiamonds, if I were your friend or sister and lived in your home with you, I would go out to the store RIGHT NOW and buy you some O'Douls. You deserve it. It's not hurting anyone, and you've been through so much. Whatever would bring you a little pleasure, I think, would be good right now.
Peter believed he was better than the Gentiles because of what they ate. God showed him that he made all things to eat. How can a non-alcoholic beverage hurt you?
The only thing you might want to be concerned about is if there is someone in your life to which the beverage would be a stumbling block. Pray about it. I'm telling you, though, I'm about ready to go out and get you some and ship it to you right now!:sun:
    What matters is Jesus
