Wise or Foolish? Which One Are You?

So, how's your spring coming along? This is just a spring-cleaning checkup. Are you being wise with your time? Are you building the Kingdom of God? Or are you foolishly wasting your time on selfish, trivial pursuits? In Matthew 7, Jesus taught that there are two types of builders - wise and foolish. Which kind are you? Speaking of the foolish builder He said, "Whoever hears these words of mine but doesn't obey is like a foolish person who builds his house on the sand." In contrast He said, "Whoever hears these words of mine and obeys them is like a wise man who builds his house on the rock."

Where are you trying to build your life? Yeah, you may go to church; you might even read your Bible and pray once in a while. But are you walking in obedience to His Word? Are you being transformed by the renewing of your mind? If not, then you're just fooling around with childish sandcastles, and it's only a matter of time before the tide of troubles washes your dreams away. D

on't waste another moment on what Scripture calls 'wood, hay, and stubble.' Invest your life in the eternal things that matter - the 'gold, silver, and precious stones' of life. (1 Cor 3:12-15) It's just like the classic hymn says, "On Christ the solid Rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand." God be with you always...
