    Book of Malachi Bible Study

This was God’s warning through Malachi to tell the people to turn back to God. As the final book of the Old Testament closes, the pronouncement of God’s justice and the promise of His restoration through the coming Messiah is ringing in the ears of the Israelites.

2 Corinthians 1:2-5 are power verses

    2 Corinthians 1:2-5 AMP
2 Grace (favor and spiritual blessing) to you and [heart] peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement),
4 Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God.
5 For just as Christ's [[a]own] sufferings fall to our lot [as they overflow upon His disciples, and we share and experience them] abundantly, so through Christ comfort (consolation and encouragement) is also [shared and experienced] abundantly by us.

2Cor. 1:3 (NIV,NASB,BOTH) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and mercies and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

    Some of my favorites

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phil 4:13

"God is the one who justifies; who is he that condemneth?" Romans 8:33 (emphasis mine)

"...God is faithful and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." 1 Cor. 10:13

The Lord who created you says, "Do not be afraid--I will save you. I have called you by name--you are mine. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you, your troubles will not overwhelm you." Isaiah 43: 1, 2

Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and guiet spirit which is so precious to God. 1 Peter 3:4 TLB
