    Parables of Jesus

Jesus' parables are short stories that teach a moral or spiritual lesson by analogy or similarity. They are often stories based on the agricultural life that was intimately familiar to His original first century audience.

Some aspect of an unfamiliar concept, such as the kingdom of God, was compared to something from everyday life that could easily be understood.

There is a lot of noise, lots of "religions" and beliefs out there to confuse anyone. But, Jesus is real. He loves you, He's ready to forgive you for all your sins and make your heart His dwelling place. Read about God's characteristics and attributes and get to know the real Jesus today.

    Understanding Inadequacy

Poor self-image. Past failures. Weak faith. We all feel inadequate in different areas of our lives. No one is adequate within themselves to be saved or to serve God effectively. We must respond to God’s call and rely on the Holy Spirit.

I found these while researching the net about the Richard Bach Quote: "If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they're yours; if they don't they never were."

I thought some of these were really funny. It's not gender neutral, but ladies can simply substitute "her" for "him" and "she" for "he" then it works out! Enjoy.:shade:

Quote (from the blog of Peel-off-the-onion)

    ORIGINAL VERSION

    If you love someone,
    Set her free...
If she comes back, she's yours,
If she doesn't, she's never was....
    THE NEW VERSIONS
    Pessimist:
    If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
If she ever comes back, she's yours,
If she doesn't, as expected, she never was ...
    Optimist:
    If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
Don't worry, she will come back.
    Suspicious:
    (1) If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
If she ever comes back, ask her why.
    (2) If you love someone,
Set her free ... but get someone to follow her
    (3) If you love someone,
.... are you sure you love that someone?
    Go-getter:
    If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
If she comes back, she's yours,
If she doesn't, go get her !
    Hunter:
    If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
Don't even wait whether she comes back,
    go hunt her down!
    Impatient:
    If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
If she doesn't comes back within some time,
    forget her.
    Patient:
    If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
    If she doesn't come back,
continue to wait until she comes back ...
    Playful:
    If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
    * If she comes back, and if you love her still,
    set her free again,
    repeat *

Lets be realistic now......let me confess the truth and nothing but the truth:embarasse I think i fall under the Impatient category, When you love somebody, set him free, if he doesnt come back then forget about him.....I operated under this principle before i got married, i have a good reason as to why.:zip:

I love this, read it a long time ago I think around 2006. I was a bit suspicious to why my Friend emailed me it, but at that time I really needed to evaluate a situation, it was so funny because I was Suspicious: type 1
    (1) If you love someone,
    Set her free ...
If she ever comes back, ask her why.....In my mind I always felt there was other motives behind the persons intent....lol

Anyway its 2008 and I'm proud to say I'm now..Patient
