    Parables of Jesus

Jesus' parables are short stories that teach a moral or spiritual lesson by analogy or similarity. They are often stories based on the agricultural life that was intimately familiar to His original first century audience.

Some aspect of an unfamiliar concept, such as the kingdom of God, was compared to something from everyday life that could easily be understood.

    Understanding Inadequacy

Poor self-image. Past failures. Weak faith. We all feel inadequate in different areas of our lives. No one is adequate within themselves to be saved or to serve God effectively. We must respond to God’s call and rely on the Holy Spirit.

In Exodus 33:20 The Word of God says But " he said, "you cannot see my face, for no-one may see me and live." But then earlier on in the chapter in verse 11 it says The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend... So was Moses really talking with God?
John 1:18 No-one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known. So if no one has ever seen God, was Moses talking to an angel sent by God to talk to Moses?
    Many thanks in advance
    God Bless

    Mary,
Moses did not see God's face, the use of "face to face" was to put it into human terms. Joshua who also was there but he never left the tent but remained inside while Moses went out to talk with the LORD to be in His presence, but did not look into His face.

For God when he passed by Moses covered Moses' face so he would not die.
Ex 33:23 "Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen."(NASB)

    Hope this was helpful.

    Peace be with you,
    Your Brother in Christ,
    John.
