    Finding God's Will

When you make a decision, how do you know you are choosing to do the right thing? In this message, Dr. Stanley explains why we have trouble discerning God’s will and how sin affects our ability to walk in the path He has chosen for us. He also encourages us to discover the Lord’s will through reading the Word of God, praying faithfully, trusting our heavenly Father’s sovereignty over our circumstances, and listening to the wise counsel of others.

    Hello Everyone,

I feel a little awkward, since there's another Christina right below my post. lol. But, my name is Christina.

to avoid confusion, call me sparrow.

I am a new christian. I was raised pentecostal/non-denominational but left church and God when I was twelve.

I converted to paganism. I was a heavy practitioner of witchcraft and the occult. I've studied various religions. After all these years, I realize I had been seduced by the enemy.

I don't want to be looked down upon. I've joined the forum to find people who care about Jesus and his message in the gospel from our Father. I came to Christ about two weeks ago on Nov. 11 2011.

It's honestly hard to think about the things I've done and just how grateful I am that Jesus Christ and God have forgiven me.

I'm currently working on an information website/blog, aimed at young adults who might get lost wandering down the same pathways I did. I'd like to share it when I finish it.

My first favorite verse in the bible is 1 Chronicles 16:11 "seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually"

This verse has been my prayer daily since starting my walk with God. I can only hope to grow and learn more as I live and breathe each day.

My second favorite verse is Psalms 118:8 "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

These are two verses I try to live by daily.
    So that's my introduction.

    take care,
    Sparrow

  2. G'day sparrow,

Welcome and congratulations on making the most important decision of your life.

Luk 15:7 NKJV I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Your website sounds like it will be a blessing to young seekers and may God guide your words.

    Dear Sparrow,

God loved you before the foundations of the world...!

You have been "translated out of the power of darkness and into the kingdom of His love Son". Col 1:13
You now have "the authority to trample over serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you". Luke 10:19

Ask the LORD to show more of Himself and He will, soon you will know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God!

God bless you and your upcoming website.

  10. Awesome testimony!

    Stay strong in the Faith!

People like you will have a much better understanding of how to help others that are lost from all the lies out there. God called you out from among all the others!

    And you heard His voice!

Seek to know Him more each day!
    God Bless

  11. Welcome Sparrow to the family.

There are many who know they are in the place just where you were but do not want to confess it. They are confused or are deceived by the devil. It is by God's grace they will meet you and many will turn away from evil.

I don't think anybody will look down on you because no one is worthy to cast the first stone on you except Jesus, who has forgiven you.

Luke 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

Isn't it nice to be forgiven much and love him much?

    Be blessed.
