Abortion -What does God Say

God is perfectly clear on this issue -its black and white.

Exodus20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17 make it plain: You shall not murder,
There is no option, you are not to kill your own child,

Most will tell you if they could go back in time, they would accept the few short months of shame and guilt of being pregnant outside of marriage.

Is it really a Child?

What if i have already had an abortion? Will God forgive me?

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

How does this effect me?

Two wrongs dont make a right, Keep in mind abortion is not a solution to a problum, It wont fix anything. The only real solution is to offer the best possible life for the child. You have two options-
1) Keep the child and raise him or her in a stable family environment - preferably with both a mother and a father,
OR
2) Put your baby up for adoption. There are many reliable Christian adoption agenices that represent, loving, solid families who have alot to offer. Remember there are always consequences for your actions. If you have an abortion you can be forgiven, but you will have to live with the consequences of that decision for the rest of your life.

Recently I read a book where one of the main topics was abortion. It is the story about a christian teen university student who is raped and then falls pregnant. It is about her stuggle in deciding if she should get an abortion or not.

I found the book really good! It is called the atonement child and is written by Francine Rivers! I recommend it!

You know, you can tell someone that all their life. But, then they get pregnant as a teenager and think that it's their only choice. It's sad, really. I just recently got pregnant, and I'm sixteen. At first, I was thinking, "My parents can't find out about this, so I have to have any abortion." But, in all reality, I hated abortion, I had my whole life and could never understand how people could murder their own baby. But, it's all out of fear. And I understand that now. I'm no longer pregnant, due to a miscarriage. But, that's a good thing because I was so close to getting an abortion and I would've had to live with that for the rest of my life.

It's not fair to be raped and become pregnant, but it is also not fair to kill an unborn child. Just because unfair situations come upon us, it does not give us the right to be unfair to others. To me it seems as a no-brainer, but i am also not a woman who has been raped. Very touchy topic.

I agree with you CrazyForChrist! A wrong cannot be fixed by another wrong! By getting an abortion, the girl who has been raped, will only increase her pain and burden.

In this case i think it is important to remember that every child is a gift from God and he also planned that child and created him/her for a reason. -And God doesnt make mistakes!!!

But yes... very difficult subject and very hard to understand or even imagine if you have not been in the same situation...
