Forgiven

Cause we're all guilty of the same things
We think the thoughts whether or not we see them through
And I know that I have been forgiven
And I just hope you can forgive me too

We all mess up. Everyone makes mistakes. We all have thoughts of doing something wrong. Sometimes we act on those thoughts. This is all part of being human.

But often we judge others because of their mistakes. We believe that what others do is worse than anything we have ever done, and so we condemn them for it. But the truth is, all mistakes separate us from God. So rather than judge someone based on what they have done, love them and show them grace, because that’s what you will want when you mess up.

Romans 2:1

You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things.

well said. I know I have been guilty of doing just that, many times. Just reading your words confronted me... and I thank you for them.... as I thank the Lord for His mercy and compassion.... for I still need it.

Yes, we all make mistakes.... but God is love and love is for giving ... and when we seek forgiveness we need only remember the words of Jesus.... Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:39b

Luke 11:4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.


Mark 11:25-26 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

May the Lord enrich our hearts and minds with His Word and help us forgive as we also desire forgiveness, to His glory and praise.
