Hello everybody!
I'd like to write a short story (parable) about two wisemen. I heard from my friend so I'd like to quote it.
"In one village there lived two wisemen. So one of them became very popular all over the world by his wisdom. At that time, another wiseman had a thought: "Why do all people go to him?, we grew up together, studied together and I'm as wise as he, but he is more popular than I and everybody listens to his wisdom."
As a result, he decided to provoke him, he thought, and thought , finally he found:(he said -) " I'll take a butterfly and I'll put it in my palm and I'll close my hand just a little leaving it still open; after that I'll ask the wiseman if the butterfly in my hand is alive or dead; if he says that it's alive then I will press it and kill, but if he says that it's dead, I'll let it fly away by opening my hand. Then everybody will see that he isn't so wise as it seems" .
So next day, he went to the place where there were crowd of people and that wiseman was also there. He came close to the wiseman and said: "Wiseman, you are popular all over the villageby your wisdom, so tell me please - is the butterfly in my hand alive or dead?" And wiseman answered - "everything is in your hands"
After he heard the response, he let the butterfly fly away.
So, by this parable I'd like to get responses to question: If pastors in many churches say to peope: " You are master of your life, everything is your hands, you are the only person to make certain decisions e.t.c". Whereas, in spiritual life and Bible says: " Put your needs on God and He will provide". However, in real life we can observe that no one will "hand on a silver platter" something for you. and also the proverb "no pains, no gains" The thing I'm trying to say is that as far as I understood, we create our destiny. and we mustn't cry out to God complaining:" Why God could you allow this situation to happen in my life??"
Earlier, I cried like this, but after listening to many preachings I understood that God only creates an atmosphere where we can endure and become stronger, because this is a fallen world and Satan rules here.
However, there are many things I don't understand in life. for example late marriages nowadays. So many beautiful, talented, kind girls - but unmarried, I wonder why?? what's wrong. They want to be loved by a certain man (who deserves it, of course).
OK, I guess, I wrote enough.
Now your turn to express your ideas about parable "Everything is in your hands"
Waiting :)))
